Why not come to <a href="http://www.xx/###.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.xx###.com</a> (###=wxxxxx) You will find the greatest enjoyment here.</p><p>Of course I have put in "x" for the actual letters the spammer used.</p><p>Hope this gets fixed spoon.</p>

<p>/report any that get thru.  The people that take care of that don't come to these forums afaik.</p><p> I haven't seen one get thru in....crud, I can't remember how long.  It's been a total of one make it thru in many months though.  But if something is getting thru, they need to know, so it can get taken care of asap.</p>

The spam filter has been working tremendously well. I haven't received a spam in WEEKS. So, they get creative and get one through. Report the spam, they'll get on it, but honestly, it's working well enought that a thread evrey time one breaks through doesn't seem all the necessary.

<p>This is not the correct avenue to report spam tells.</p><p>In-game you need only to right click the offending tell/spam and select the appropriate menu choice.</p><p>The spam filters are updated very quickly.</p>

Yup, I got one this morning too.  Just /report it and forget about it.  They have been doing an amazing job keeping the spammers at bay.  This is the first one I've had in ages. Thanks guys!!!  *huggles*

I only ever seen the spam filter message. I accidentally made a character on Najena, and was there less than 5 minutes and had 3 spams. O,o. On my regular server, when I came back to EQ2, I had 4 spam mails in my box. Ive not see a one since. So, even if SOE screws up on a regular basis, they do an amazing job with spam filtering.

Got several blocked messeged on my Sarnak... then I blocked spam tells... got on my 80 Wizzy, and I have gotten a few tells in full text, like the op stated. I went ahead and reported it, so it should be fixed soon enough.

First off, as noted, if you see the full text of the spam just right-click on any spam tells that get through and select "Report as spam". That'll instantly submit the tell to the program that updates the spam filters, and to the humans who monitor the filters. Don't bother with /report or /petition on spam.Second, right-click on your chat tab and look at the message-type checkboxes. In the same group as tells you'll find a new checkbox labelled "Spam". Tells that are marked as spam by the filters still come through but with their text suppressed and replaced by a "Spam" label. Don't report these, they're already in the filter. If you don't want to see them, just uncheck the "Spam" checkbox to remove them from your display. Do this on every chat tab and filtered spam tells should disappear entirely.

<p>Have to deffinately applaud the SoE developers for their plat filter.  Best thing I love is the fact I can simply turn off the spamms I get [spam] as;ldfjka;ldjf sent you a tell [view][spam].  </p><p>It was worrying when they broke through using those foreign characters, but that was quickly put to rest.  Only a couple of times have things gotten through with them testing the waters.  People have sent me random tells saying "hi", and "high", but that's about it.  </p><p>As others have said report it and if it gets progressive to the point it breaks through multiple times /petition it.  When you petition it state what the message said, when they broke through, and the person's name.  </p><p>Plat sellers are pretty freakin sad, but I have to give them credit that they are tenacious little buggers.  Too bad we don't have industrial strength cockroach remover. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/908627bbe5e9f6a080977db8c365caff.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

<p>Do remember, as others have already stated here, if you get such a /tell pertaining to plat spammers, /report them but then even /petition to ensure attention is on that issue.  I personally had a guy send me a couple /tells the other day about his super-cool plat site, but a awift report and petition later, he was gone.</p><p>~Gnobrin!</p>

I don't bother with Petition any more since it doesn't seem to work.  Last time I tried, I got an extra browse window opened up which asked me to log in again, and wouldn't allow me to enter a ticket about a potential bot because it claimed I wasn't logged in.  I much preferred the old in-game ticketing system; the new setup's never worked and as far as I'm concerned, I'm done with trying to use it unless I get such a horrendous issue that my characters are somehow impaired.

<p>I get spam that bypasses the filters all the time.</p><p>First there's this particular sound that comes out of the speakers - a sound that always makes me think, "oh no - the servers are coming down.  I wonder what's up?"</p><p>Then a bunch of filter bypassing spam appears on my window.  It always refers to something called Legends of Norrath, which isn't even the game I'm playing, and I have no interest in.</p><p>At least the plat spammers are referring to a game I play, and care about.</p>

<p>I still wish we players could form lynching mobs and if we get a tell from a plat seller we could magically transport to the queen's colony or overlord's outpost.  There we could torture them dropping them from high heights dieing over and over again.  Every time they died they would get a black message accross the screen "YOU ARE A DIRTY PLAT SELLER/FARMER YOU ARE NOT WELCOME".  Then every time they died and tried to speak it would say "the dead cannot send tells, nor can dirty plat farmers." </p><p>Plat farmers should be glad i'm not a CSR person because I would just pick a random server from the wheel o torture and would stay on queen's colony then overlord's outpost.  I get a report about a plat spammer i'll just slap em and kill em.  That or teleport em to the lair of Trakanon to be killed by him over and over again. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/908627bbe5e9f6a080977db8c365caff.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /><img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/908627bbe5e9f6a080977db8c365caff.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /><img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/908627bbe5e9f6a080977db8c365caff.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

Sad part is that these spams all seem to come from the same web site <a href="http://www.gmwo*****.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.gmwo*****.com</a> and they have been doing this over a year.  guess they are millionaires by now.

What bothers me most is that the spammers continue to send them even though they have to know that SOE uses a filter...Which tells me there are still a ton of people buying plat from these yahoos...SOE still has done nothing to stop the cheaters...Prevent plat buying would remove most of the plat sellers...there is no money to be made if no one is buying...they will move on
