Hey bruisers, to those of you who went thru the AA line to get the stoneskin finisher. How often is that going off for you while MT'ing. Does it seem worth the aa's? Looking at the list, I dont really see much else to choose from anyway, so i'll probably go for it regardless. But it'd be nice to know if what I'm working towards is worthwhile.

Well I can't give exact numbers for the times it procs since it is random. I do like having the ability and have seen it proc twice in a row absorbing 1700 then 900 damage approx which is nice. I would say it possibly procs at least once every 5-8 fights on average, but it is so random that it is unreliable to count on to save your hind end. This has saved me on a fight with one of the broken shackle monk absorbing 5310 damage approx and I was at deaths door knocking loudly. All that being said the theory is nice but the reliablity of it isn't that good. For me it is a love/hate situation. It hasn't proced for me in two hours of play time here lately. I still like having it though and it is useful when it procs.

I compair the retribution of stone proc to like adorn proc damage for weapons. To me they do not give a great deal of additional dps, but they are better than nothing. Anyways I doubt that I will change from it even though I do not like anything that has a chance to work. If it worked every single time it would be over powering, so that is when I rely on heal or fd if it all goes bad.

I suppose being in defensive stance would grand more procs of it. Is there much gear you can get that is + to repo? That'd be nice to increase with this.

That is an interesting question about it procing more in defensive and is a question that I cannot answer because I am in offensive 99% of the time. I don't like my defensive stance and it is a master, but when I use defensive my combarts miss more and more and it takes me longer to get the mob down so I hardly ever use it. Would be interesting to try just to see.

As far as equipment goes to give some repostie luv we will need more seasoned bruisers commenting on that. I am sure it is out there just don't know really what it would be. I will try and find some adornments and see but no guarantees.

It would not proc more in defensive vs offensive because it procs off ripostes, and those only come from parry or from + riposte % adornments/str AA line. Defensive stance only affects defense and deflect. On average for me it procs once per hour in pretty constant fighting. This is with 10% parry, and no extra adornments.

Gez, once per hour? I'm going to really have to evaluate whether or not I'm going to take that line. I'm not in-game right this minute, but from AA's I think we can get +parry, +defense, and +deflect. Is the str three +repo?Even if the str tree was +repo it'd only be 8%? and would require to be unarmed. That's not very appealing. Maybe I'll go with the agro control aa stuff instead. I do like having the timers on my taunts reduced and so-on. I hate losing agro in groups though it doesn't happen often if I'm MT anyway.

focusing on increasing your parry.not sure the exact numbers. but i believe each time you parry.. you have a 10% chance to riposte.more +parry = more ripostes = more stoneskin
