Having the same problem. And it's getting to the point of being rediculous. Out of all the strange problems I've seen while playing many MMOs, this is one of the stupidest. I JUST renewed my subscription, and now this? $15 for the subscription, and $40 for the expansion, and that was THREE DAYS AGO and I STILL cant play it AT ALL. And this machine has NEVER had problems with this game before. Only now, and it's been installed on here for AWHILE. Any help appreciated...... siiiiiiigh........

Have exactly same problem here with my runnyeye chars. Running windowsXP.I log in with UI resources loading much longer than usually. That has lead me to believe it causes these problems, I use default UI without eqmaps or any other addon nowadays. Then I get in with my characters health/power as black and hotbuttons as well.If I dont interact with enviroment at all, I can stay logged in forever. If I wait sometime ingame without touching keyboard I see my health/power go green and can then even talk in guildchat. But the same minute I move I start to go LD, boot to char select will soon follow. Talking on chat is np but If I move I can safely go and have a smoke because I know LD will follow. Hasnt failed me yet.Have been like this for few months now for me. If I keep on trying, I finally get in normally without blacked out buttons and can play, but thats usually something like 30ish log in attempt if that. Have deleted cache/login cache, have deleted whole UI and fullscan. Have tried with or without firewall. Even did full reinstall of game, same BS. Tried to find help here, found some posts from people who have same kindish problem but they got buried fast without answer.Oh and I dont have this kind of problems with any other game, including Vanguard. EDIT; this is what alert log error says;"Loading UI resources timed out after 10 seconds while still had pending examine requests"Hopefully that means something to someone who could help, would be much appreciated.

This sounds like a router type issue to me.Try doing a power cycle on both your modem and your router. Unplug both of them, and wait for about 10 seconds, and plug them both back in. Wait a few minutes and try the game again. If that doesn't work, take a look at the router's port forwarding setup and make sure everything is set the way it should be. For information on which ports to use, click here. It's possible that it could be any type of security software too, anti-virus or firewall software slowing things down. Try making sure nothing is hindering your connection here. Add the game and/or directory to your software's exception list, or try turning it off for the duration of these tests.
