I have finally moved my way out of antonica to thundering steppes in search of new beasts to shoot full of arrows (Ranger), however, I am still doing alot of trade skilling in Queynos. The fastest way I have found from one place to another is: Mariners bell to Antonica, run to griff tower, griff to Steppes station, run to Thundering Steppes zone line and then down to where ever I am hunting (I haven't done TS griff access quest yet). My question is: Is there a faster way of making this trip, as it is it takes a good bit of time to get back out fighting after I've been in the city? Thanks for any help.
You can buy a ticket from the harbor master that costs 60s and then it will take you directly to the TS docks. The problem is that it costs 60s every time you want to do this.

There is a mariners bell in QH that will take you straight to TS docks but cost money to use. 60s I believe.

So the best solution is to make a 'city alt' who can do the Trade skill, banking etc and just have the two characters exchange things via mail, ....or is there a bank somewhere in TS. Does the whole vendor alt thing work well in EQ2 (I came from wow recently)(and WoW this game is so much better)

An alternative would be to go to Qeynos Harbor, take the carpet to Sinking Sands, take the carpet at the end of the dock there to Butcherblock Mountains (make sure you RIGHT-CLICK that carpet) and then take the boat at BM dock (the right hand boat when you are facing them) to Thundering Steppes.Wouldn't likely be a lot faster unless you zone quickly though. Depends a bit on where exactly in Qeynos you start from -- starting from South Qeynos, for example, I go out the door to Antonica to the griffon station rather than taking a bell. If you are starting in Qeynos Harbor, the carpet method might be more attractive.

>>>...or is there a bank somewhere in TS. There is a broker on the Isle of Mara which you can zone to from the end of TS dock.

At the TS dock, look for the mariners bell to the island of Mare (it a bit hidden on the last platform on your left before the Feerrott bell).

On the island of mare you will find broker and banking services.

J.C.

If you bought RoK, you probably do! Type in /claim and see if your have a glowing blue stone. Claim that, and examine it. Make friends with the Splitpaw gnolls and they will give you a version of the stone that lets you teleport directly to Thundering Steppes. To learn more about this questline, check out the Splitpaw Timeline at EQ2i.
