I have done some testing with my necro (moreso than my Guardian) and have in fact found a mitigation bug.

As my guardian is still on in his 20's it is exptremely difficult for me to easily test this. I proved it out with my lvl 60 necro (but being silk even that wasn't easy).

I am looking for other members of the community to confirm this.

People tend to wear the BEST armor they can in their actual armor slot, and the Pretty appearance armor in the appearance tab. The only thing required to test this out is some time, well, and the starres from looking ugly in that best armor set up people have.

Here is the test.. wear your 500 mitigation armor like you normally would, but that 200 mitigation armor in the appearance tab and go find a mob to get beat up by. (take note of how much damage your taking)

Now, take off the appearance armor, leaving your good 500 mitigation armor on, and go get beat up by the same mob.

You should notice an EXTREME difference in the damage you take.

Comments?

So did you test a pool of mobs DPS w/ and w/o apperance slot armor on? Or are you just going by what hits you took? Seeems rather inconclusive to me w/o any parses.

The testing I did with my necro was with a large amount of mobs, however, again, being a necro and cloth (barister[sp?] robe), it was not exactly the best setting to test it.

I guess I'll have to come up with a set criteria and test it out on my guardian. Although not being higher level, it will be somewhat limited.

All the testing was done pretty much by eye.. since I do not have knowledge of a parser that works with eq2. (suggestions would be nice, if you have any)
