Did you try this formula? Not sure it works across games but does work across servers in EQ2; can't hurt to try.

/EQ.Fennin_Ro.Friendsname hello there

Yes I talk to a friend on Nagafen server all the time.

I send a /tell Nagafen.friend hey there

as this is in same game and doesn't need a qualifier.

You could talk to someone playing SWG also if you know anyone there, using /tell SWG.servername.friendsname hi there formula

On Nagafen? Are you sure? When the PvP servers were first launched, they disabled cross-server chat for fear of spying or some other strangeness.

Maybe they reimplemented it.

/Tell {<game.><server.>name} {text} - Sends the given text to Character You can send tells and ingame mail to other players on other server / SOE games. Just include the name of the server followed by a dot: /tell antonia.Tom -> sends a tell to Tom on Antonia Bayle /tell eq.innoruuk.saphie -> Sends a tell to Saphie on the EQlive Server Innoruuk /tell swg.lowca.Obinat -> Sends a tell to Obinat on the SWG server Lowca These names you can also use when you send an ingame mail. You can not attach items to such mails though.
