I completed the Red Tome today and turned it in. Got the quest to seek out the NPC who would teach me the Di'Zok language. As soon as I hailed him, he offered me the language quest itself, but his conversation to me started out like he skipped over something.

Well, I did the language quest, and this is the end result. All the details to show the quest is bugged is right here.

I forgot to file a /bug report though, so I'll do that tomarow. I'd like to finish the quest please.

I can't find the thread right now, but it is already known that the 3 Kunark language quests are similarly "bugged" and it will be addressed in the upcoming GU.

Oh. Ok. Thanks. I'll tell my guildie about this. He's in the same bind as me.

The fix for will go live with GU 42 which I believe is the 29th of January. It should fix all the issues with all three language quests including those who did not get the devliery quests updated and those who accidentally deleted the books before reading them.

Those who deleted the book before reading them will be able to complete the second quest and get the language.

Those who did not get their first quest updated should be able to return to the npc for any of the three language quests (Froak, Di'Zokian and Sathirian) and get those quests updated and receive the rewards and exp.

no, I got the language quest as soon as I hailed him. I completed it and got the di'zok plushie for my house. He just wont let me complete this particular quest where you hail him to acknowledge that you have the book.

I wish they would also fix that quest from EoF where it tells you you should look at a handkerchief that you just dug up, do so and the quest completes and you're offered the next quest in the series but the quest that completed doesn't leave your book. If any fix went in it didn't retro fix the existing broken quest log entires.Honaf,It's the same deal here with the language quests, you complete the quest, get your rewards and XP, but it never leaves your book.I'd delete them, but I'm too scared it'd screw something up.

Don't delete them, you'll be able to update the quest next GU.

That's great Kander but I am concerned by how. Will they auto complete like the RoK pre-quests did when RoK came out and you hadn't completed them? That handkerchief quest eats the handkerchief after you've examined it, which is why I'm concerned. At least the lingo quests can just have the NPCs hailed again.

Too late for me. I deleted the quest the day before you posted a fix was incoming.
