This level 40 quest requires you to go into Freeport and then in to Qeynos before completing it in other areas outside of the cities. My question: How do you complete this? I am good aligned and every time I try to go into Freeport the guards gank me. I tried going in with sneak on but there is a split second after the zone loads where your character is visible and so I die right away. The guards may even aggro through invis (I haven't lived long enough to determine that). Currently level 43 and trying to duo this quest but I simply can't figure out how to get into W Freeport and talk to the npc...

You need to go in via the bell to one of the racial towns. From there take the Thieves Way (read: sewers) to WFP. Once in WFP, follow along the back wall of the Arena building, head into the Blood Haze Inn and the guy you need is on the second floor.HTH

Do only the FP bells work for everyone? Does Qeynos have bells? I tried clicking one of the bell shaped things on the docks outside Qeynos in Ant and they weren't clickable. And yeah, the guards see invis/stealth. Misleading too because if you are stealthed their names don't have the glowy redness to indicate aggro so I tried to walk past and one hit me for 4 times more health than I had.

They will however see any pets that you have up, and via the pet, you. For example, my mystic can stealth past the FP guards just fine without her dog, but with the dog up, she gets attacked.

But, you don't need stealth/invis to sneak around the cities. Enter Freeport via The Sprawl, then continue on thru Thieves Way/Serpent Sewer and enter WFP via the sewers and sneak around. It's pretty easy.

I needed to get to Baubbleshire and I figured (because Kelethin guards didn't attack me) that I could just walk in the front door (North Qeynos). I got plastered so I tried again with stealth. But the guard had no glowy redness so I figured I was good to go and then I got plastered again. I would figure it a fluke but a guildmate complained about the same thing not 2 hours later, no glowy redness but aggrod through stealth.

Qeynos has sewers too ya know LOL. Easiest way to get into either city is through those sewers. Eq2.wikia.com has some great walkthroughs giving the safe paths through the sewers and streets. It was a lifesaver when I betrayed my necro and had to sneak past the guards that were still aggro to her.

You can go to the commonlands and into the graveyard from there you can get into one of the oulying cities then into thieves way.
