Heya all.I'm kinda new to EQ2 and I'm interested in reading up on some Lore. I read a few of the Lore websites but I was wondering if there is a date/timeline anywhere? More specifically, I was wondering how long ago the War of the Fay took place from the present day, as well as other important events that my character might have knowledge of.Also, is there any information on racial ages? Like in most fantasy settings, are elves long lived compared to humans? Thanks in advance.Edit: dammit, I need my eyes testing. Just saw the brief timeline in the stickies . Any info on race ages would be much appreciated though.

Here's a link to another post about racial ages. I don't know how accurate it is. I don't remember ever seeing an in-game reference, although elves in general must be pretty long lived given how often the Thex royal families appear through history.http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=186940There are several guides out there about the timelines of Norrath. Check out the posts at the top of this forum. They mention the War of the Fay. The Iksar AG (After Greenmist) calendar is is the most detailed.

One thing about Everquest's lore is that there is no officially chronographed timeline, except in a few rare cases.

They only allude that an event happened a general amount of years ago. Luclin blowing up for example. Despite being so recent (and the fact that the developers have yet to write in an NPC who specifically talks about it), nobody knows exactly when it happened other than between 15 and 20 years ago.

There are Lieutenant journals from the 2nd Rallosian War that states the date that they were written, but even these dates dont fit in very well since they use a different calender system that only ogres are accustomed to. Also: it's never stated what year the war actually started.

When I began work on EQ II, I began work on a single timeline that fuses most lore from our major EQ projects. Let me tell you... that was an insane amount of work! Much more than you would think. EQII follows this timeline. As we create new content, including new historic events, they are added to the timeline. There is an actual date for most events. We also have the dates of events that have yet to become a reality in Norrath. Even when there is not a datge for an event, I can calculate one if needed. Unfortunately, I cannot access my timeline at the moment. I will have to get back to you on this.
