Requesting to much memory?

Every once in a while i get an error that says i have i am rying to requested to much memory.im running vista 64 bit on a core 2 2.66 with 4 gigs of ram and an 8800 gt and 680i kt

<p>Psst.. check out the two 40 pagers at the top of the forum.  One is stickied and 7 months old, the other is 2 YEARS old! Good times!!! <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src=" width="15" height="15" /></p><p> So yep, its a known issue and no, there really is no solution.  Be prepared to be quizzed on your virus/malware/firewall config, DETAILED power supply specs, minute to minute CPU and GPU temps, and full dumps of dxdiag and msinfo.  Be also prepared for interesting suggestions like "dont use a firewall" and "dont use DirectX 10 on Vista or XP (a classic).  Then be prepared to realize that this is a really serious problem with the game engine and that it effects all kinds of systems (AMD/Intel, ATI/NVidia, XP/Vista).  It HAS gotten a lot worse since RoK and is effecting a lot more people though, if that helps.</p><p>Edit: sure theres a lot of sarcasm here, but its late and this problem is beyond warranting serious discourse from the user community</p>
