New guard group question

I started playing a guard, and like it so far.  My group so far has a temp and warlock.  But thinking if there is another class instead of the warlock that would work better for a small group like this?  Any feedback would be appreciated.

The warlock keeps getting aggro and dying?Don't worry that is what they almost all do <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />Do you have the buff that reduces hate gain yet?Talk to the warlock about taking things slower and not trying to blow things away with his biggest nuke straight away.

That's not entirely the case, I keep aggro ok, not great though.  We're in low 20's, so still in newbie stage so don't have the nicer abilities yet.  I was just wondering if the group could be balanced so to speak better by changing the caster?  I'm used to SK/Temp/Nec combo with very good success rate.

A dirge or a troub would work well both will have mana regen which is always good. The dirge can help you offensive abilities and your own hate generation. The troub will  be more of a support role as well since they can lower the hate generation of non fighters  as well as having a defense buff that can help everyone.
