First off I am currently level 19 with 11 AA's and new to the game. I will be duoing with a Pally most of the time and grouping whenever we find a group. So in this regard, I'm not sure what AA's to take to be best for this situation. Not knowing what to pick, I just put my first 10 points in Magi Shielding....but that only really helps if I'm getting hit. For the most part he has been good at holding the aggro. I suppose what I really should be doing is maximizing my dps while he tanks. I've heard how the str, agi, and wis lines are good as well as fire/cold and manaburn, but I have no idea which direction to go and in what order. I know being able to nuke down a mob fast every 5 minutes can be good (manaburn), but I'm not so sure there is a better dps approach.I have definitely noticed how well we can kill groups of even cons already with our aoe abilities. If anyone can point me into a direction or 2 to get me going that would be great. I was thinking of just picking up the ice shards 5/5 then working down agility till I have a good stock of points to respec into something a little more organized. Thanks in advance.Fandolcu - 19 Wizard Lucan D'lerep.s. for a little background info, I played a hunter mostly in LotrO so it seemed the most similar and my friend was also a guardian, so some similarities there for him.

Well.....not getting much for replies. Thinking I might go do a respec and go wisdom 4-7-4-8-1 (it seems to have a good bit of bang for the buck early on) then decide to go with either agility or strength. Can't decide which would be fundamentally better for the duo play. After that I might look into getting manaburn or working through the ice lines. Thanks again for any input I may receive.

agi lets you cast faster. faster casting makes for more damage in the same amount of time or less. str line also focuses on crits, increasing the % chance as wel as granting you a forced crit. I actually just respec'd away from manaburn, as i found its uses rather limited for my playstyle and can throw out more damage casting spells for the casting time and mana consumption of manaburn. 5 in icicles will increase the heat/cold debuff portion of the spell by 15%, pretty big deal later on.

I was thinking that with a Paladin, we might be able to take a good number of named mobs we encounter anyway without manaburn. As far as strength goes...I can't decide if I like it better than wisdom. I'm thinking early on the extra crits will be good (obviously good for anyone at an extent) but I have heard how later you can get a pretty high sustained crit rate without strength (through various jewelry and such). I am also thinking that possibly if I go wisdom, the ward of sages might make a decent replacement for the points I put into magi shielding. Wizards definitely seem to have the hardest choices as far as what lines to go. Thanks for the reply.
