Hey all, i have recently returned to norrath from a prolonged stay in reality.Previously when i played the game i found that most group activities and quests are not rewarding enough for the effort you put into them. Particulary heritage & regular quests, epic contested mobs, and group dungeons. this is mostly concerning zones and mobs in the level 1-60 area's I often find myself looking for somethign to do in the game to pass the time, and one of my most common activities has always been questing, however in all tiers i have found that the quests are usually mind numbingly boring to do (kill 10 of these, kill 5 of those, then kill 10 more of the first one) take a fair amont of time to complete and at the end you are rewarded with a minor piece of treasure that will only ever be bought by transmuters. I guess the real problem here is the rewards, i always gear myself in the mastercrafted for my tier (fabled for my conjy cause he's uber and can afford it) and when i get a quest reward piece of equipment or jewlery i usually just toss it in my bag and sell it to a merchant. Often the stats on quest reward items have worse stats then the mastercrafted from the tier before (ie u do a level 48 quests u get a piece of gear worse than 32 mc). Heroic quests and heritage quests are no better as the "legendary" rewards often pale in comparision to mastercrafted of the same tier. this has been worsend of course by the improvments to MC gear. This makes me very reluctant to quest with peopel or go out on heritage quests as at the end of a huge time sink u end up with nothing. while i do still solo quest to pass the time between pvp fights, thats mostly all that quests are, time sinks. Every now and then someone will call out in the channels that there is some epic mob somewhere that needs killing. While epics do give a nice chunk of aa the drops are usually crap. You can wait for 3 weeks for a particular mob to spawn, spend 3 hours trying to get a raid together and then the mob either despawns, a bot group runs up and kills it, or you do kill the mob with your group only to find that it has dropped a treasure chest with 1 item or 2 in it. not very rewarding. this pretty much results in the 4 hours it sometimes takes to get a raid together because anyoen who has already kileld the mob is very unlikely to go as 12 people splitting 1 treasure chest is not very rewarding experience at all for anyone and if u already got aa for the mob then really whats the point? i would like to see somethign done to improve the quality of epic loot drops, and the quantaty of loot in them. Another favorite pass time for me is smashing my way through dungeons with a group of skileld adventures and picking up all the treasure we can find. (note this following problem does not apply to my conjy who is the king of do it urself). however as we smash our way trhough the dungeons and place holders and hopefully spawn a few names there is often not enough loot to go around, and most of the drops off nameds usually are treasure chests and not exquisites, this makes it hard to get groups to go to dungeons as it wont be rewarding for anyoen who hasnt already got the aa from the nameds or has a character that can solo that particular dungeon.now all this treasure would be fine except treasured items usually are crap in all tiers and are only really good for grinding into dust and attaching to better pieces of gear.anyways this is mostly what i think is wrong with the old world content in the game, i'd liek to hear some thoughts on this wheter u agree or disagree
