2h or 1h shield?

<p>Well right now im on Nagafen PVP server so ill be doing alot of pvp n also ill be mostly soloing, right now im using 2h but i hear 1h + shield is better.</p><p>What should i use for my situation?</p>

Best is to have both but to have 1h/shield is much more important if you don't have the cash for both <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

How do you have both? You mean have a 1H and Shd and 2H in the bags? Thanks.

Generally speaking, 2H weapons will do more damage while 1H+shield will reduce the amount of damage you take.   My Paladin usually carries around a few of each.  Soloing, I have usually used 2H while in groups, I tend to get the shield out since I am fighting harder mobs.  If the healer can keep up, then I might get the 2H out.On arrival in the Kylong Plains with my 2H sword, I quickly was forced to get my shield out because the mobs hit very hard there.Your mileage may vary if you PvP.

for pvp you will want 1h and shield.  You take a hit to your melee dps but you gain in stats and protection.  Many shields have resists on them.  YOu also get a knockback/knockdown in shiled bash that will buy ou extra time for spells.

I haven't used a sword and board since I started back. Wait, my guild made me tank a KoS raid and I did have to use a sword and board, but not in KP <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> If you're in PvP, listen to these guys, the shield will give you an extra stun, protection, stats and resists <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
