View Full Version : What is still broken with Necromancers since RoK
I have heard reports that the Gravecalling AA's that enhance pets is not working on the T8 pets but is working on the lower tier pets. What else?

the scaleing of our spells while not " broken " per say is not righttanks (pet) are not taunting enough. master mage pet gets slightly more resists than should and more agro than it should generate for its damage

Yeah, I don't know whether it's resists to the pet taunts that's the problem or that the pets aren't taunting enough. I've noticed it at 77. There's also an AA manual pet taunt that I've had to use quite a bit. There's also Dooming Darkness, which has spectacular graphics but I'm not sure is worth anything as a debuff. The spell hasn't been ugraded since 51 since it's a percent based spell. I use it all the time but not sure whether I get the benefits. I hear that it dispells almost immediately due to the Lich proc, even though it only has a 5% chance of dispelling with damage.

The AA Manual Pet taunt is broke... I (Necromancer 76) and Wife (Conjuror 76) have that line maxed and hers works 85% of the time and myne works 10% of the time. I am going to respec and let the wife pet tank from now on until it is fixed.

It's not so much that the aa taunt is broke - it gets resisted a lot. So even if you spent 8 points in it and expect the aggro to switch to your tank pet 100% of the time - it won't.Far worse though, the tank pet is a joke. I have both the pet and the def buff on m1 and it doesn't stand a chance of holding aggro. Against myself. Being careful. Wearing deaggro gear, for crying out loud!Neither with the m1 off buff, for that matter.Possessing it, timing CA and autoattack I can hold my own against another necro. It's just the pet's stupid cast order that needs to be looked at...

That sucks. Guess I won't be in a hurry to get to 77 and get the tank pet anymore. Hopefully by time I get there it will be able to hold aggro or I'm screwed because I mainly solo.
I find that certain RoK mobs resist taunts a lot - those man eating chickens seem to be the worst of the lot. But yes, with +850 in dmg gear on me I do pull aggro off the tank pet if I nuke/dot too hard too soon. I have to give my tank pet about 4 or 5 secs of good hitting before I use Drain Life or I will pull aggro (with 2275 dmg in one shot). I keep hitting the Perceptor's Bodyguard every 15 sec or so even if the pet still has aggro - just in case. Of course, there is always FD and my racial aggro dump "Pitiful Plea" (my necro is a Ratonga). Those work to get aggro back on my pet pretty well.Resists on RoK mobs seem to be a lot higher than the equivelent level mobs in EoF or KoS zones. So, I am guessing SOE turned up the resists on all the mobs to make RoK a bit more of a challenge.

Vampire bats doesn't proc Lich's siphoning
I think it has to be a disease based spell to proc lich. The "Bats" line is piercing dmg.

I have the Siphoning of Souls Master 1 (T8 version, think that is the name, not on my game rig) The heal spell you get from it is lvl 52 not tier 8. I bugged it. See if they fix it.
