Are there still class Hallmark/Armor quests in EQ2?

<p>Just restarted my account after 3 years off and from what I can tell there are still the class armor quests but no longer any hallmark quests since you start off as your class from level 1. Is this correct?</p><p>Any quests that are considered "must-do" at the early levels (1-20)? I seem to remember there was a "Bootstrutter's Guide" quest in Antonica that players used to shut off combat exp for since you needed a book that dropped in a chest at early levels to start the quest.</p><p>Thanks!!! </p>

Yes, the Level 20 Armor Quests are still available in Freeport and Qeynos. There is no longer a quest requirement to select your class... you pick what you want during character creation. It is possible to complete a betrayal quest to change alignment or class if you so choose... say in order to get an iksar paladin or some such combination. As for essential questlines it seems that Timorous Deep quests will net you the best gear at the moment. As for shutting off exp to get quest drops, that is no longer necessary, as quest starters will now drop off of gray mobs. This was changed a few months back.
