Hey all! I just wanted to post and say I'm digging my coercer! I'm still fiddling with the AA's, and learning how to play, but it's a blast! I'm only level 20, but it's exciting fighting with charm! I didn't realize how powerful Coercers are, but am just starting to have my eyes opened!

I've locked my character and am only doing quests for experieince, and PVP'ing when someone dumb enough to come at me does, otherwise, I leave them alone (unless I need the mobs they are killing, or they /rude me). Anyway, I've got full points in charm, medusa gaze, hesitation, and am trying to get enough points for tash. I figure that will help alot, no?

Anyway, any pointers would be great. I just learned about /pet ranged but havent' tried it yet, so am excited about that.

overall, i'm having a blast and wanted to share.

GAME ON!

I too just made a new coercer and am lovin' it.I have never played a class I have enjoyed more. I also like that we are kind of rare, gives us a mysterious feel. I can solo effectively but also have fun in groups where instead of using my "pet" I root, mez, buff and nuke. It is almost like having two different characters to play in one. I am having trouble deciding where to put my AAs but there is useful post on this page that is helpful. I also am not sure what to make of the endless thoughtstones I am accumulating at a rapid level. I can't wait to learn more each day about how to play this complex class. I may also level lock at some point, not quite sure yet.

I generally end up destroying most of my thoughtstones at the end of a gaming session, or when I notice that they are starting to take up too much space in my inventory. I do however make sure that I leave a handful to start the next gaming session off.

We have 3 spells that require thoughtstone to cast , and even then out thoughtstone supply grows rapidly so i end up destroying them every once a while. For aa i would switch to WIs line right after 5 points in Charm , because + subj helps alot . After that u can go either way , i went Convulsions line for enhanced damage and Coercive Healing , then AGI for faster casts . GL -))

It's nice to finally see some other players posting about how they enjoying playing the class like myself. It's alot better than coming on here and seeing all other coercers whining and complaining about DPS all the time. If you need any advice guys feel free to ask, got an 80 Coercer on Runnyeye server (sig is outdated).

What is a thoughtstone? I'm only level 20, so perhaps I dont' need them yet, but I'm curious. Thanks in advance!

a thought stone is a stone created from using certain Coercer spells such as Dispoetic Mind & Sibyllant. and are required by a select few (Channel, Terrible Awe, Dreadful Awe, Minds Eye, and a couple more i cant remember). hope that helps.
