The Kragbak Strongbox

Has anyone information about this quest? I got it from a quest starter (ring) that dropped multiple times during the ring event in Brell's Brew inside Kaladim last night. It's not marked as heroic, so it seems to be soloable; unfortunately, I cannot find the appropriate targets to get the 4 updates required.

<p>Really no one having a clue?</p><p>I killed a lot of solo encounters and even die the complete ring event again. Though some mobs names were quite similar to those required in the steps in the quest, none gave a pling or at least a "you did not find any quest items" notice.</p><p>Either I missed something important, or it is bugged... <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/385970365b8ed7503b4294502a458efa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

It's bugged, nothing will update that quest. Same with the other one that drops in Kaladim.

Yeah i have killed a few of the named involved in the quest and no *ding* My guess is that they drop a chest w/ the ringlet inside but if the mob is grey it won't. I know the big gorilla down there that is supposed to drop the explosives for the bank where one of the SoD statues is located will not if it is grey. So maybe if you mentor down these quest mobs will drop the ringlet but thats just a theory. I have heard there was a fix incoming for the gorilla so hopefully they will catch this one too.

<p>The gorilla does indeed drop the blasting keg when he is grey.  I got one just last week.</p><p>I do not have any information to help the OP, however, sorry.</p>

I keep getting the ringlets, but the quest itself won't start. Yeay for bugs!

I had the same problem with the Terrok drop. I kept getting the quest starter but the quest would not start. However the friend I was with got the same drop and the quest started fine for him. He had finished off a couple of quests in there that I hadn't so we assumed I had missed a pre-req. I then completed 'Planting and Plundering' and started and completed 'A Couple of Ringlets Missing' and was now able to examine my drop and get 'The Terrok Strongbox' quest at long last.My advice would be make sure you have the following completed: Planting and Plundering and A Couple Ringlets Missing. If you have those completed and it is still not working let me know as I would like to figure it out for future reference.- edited to say this message was in response to NightGod ... Good work Pusska! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I can confirm that neither Great Grenadier Gonga or Rampart drop anything or update the (related) quest "The Terrock Strongbox"After clearing their placeholders several times, I was able to get them to spawn, and was pretty miffed to see no updates. They DID con grey to me, but that should not be an issue. I have no idea where to find the third named (Commander Ursus) or the two other mobs, the mapmakers and armsmasters, but it is moot atm. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Can a dev clarify what is happening here?

Ah, OK, I definitely haven't done those earlier quests, seems logical that the problem I'm personally having lies there. I'll have to add Butcherblock to my list of zones to wipe clean of quests soon. Thanks for the info!

I had received the Kragbak Ringlet and thought that it was bugged too.  However, a friend of mine pointed out that you need to do the quest A Couple of Ringlets Missing first.  That is started by a chest in one of the towers when you first enter Kaladim.And as for the explosives, you don't have to wait for Gonga to spawn to get them.  Both nameds in the towers spawn with ring events and they each have them.  You need those named anyways for the first ringlets quest, so you might as well do it all together.

I even tried mentoring to see if the mobs needed to con. It would be nice if we could get some sort of response from devs =)</p><p> To Bigsigh....Commander Ursus or his ph spawn in the room with the bearskin rug...the armsmaster spawns in one of the rooms underneath Rampart...but still unsure myself where the mapmaker is.</p>

I will try to make things clearer.The Kragbak Strongbox and The Terrok Strongbox are still bugged and will not update. We need the brilliant SOE team to hurry up and fix the darn thing.However, the people who think that the quest is bugged because they have the drop but cannot get the quest by examining it - simply have not completed the 'A Couple Ringlets Missing' quest.

<p>Well, might have been a stealth fix...at least for one of these quests.  I was able to get the updates for the Terrok Strongbox today.  They were auto updates on killing the mobs (not drops).</p><p>But so far, nothing is updating the Kragbak Strongbox quest.  Weird that they would fix one but not the other.</p><p>Valgrave</p>

Ok, it looks like The Kragbak Strongbox and the Terrok Strongbox have been fixed. Whilst I am grateful that you guys (SOE) have got around to fixing it up ... where was it in the patch notes? I apologise if it was there and I missed it, but it would not be the first time something like this has been fixed in aparant 'stealth' mode. If any devs read this, please, we need to know when these things are fixed. If I had not been keeping an eye on forums then we would have missed that it was fixed for goodness knows how long.My friend and I finished Terrok up no problems, however we are still missing the 1st and 4th ringlet from The Kragbak Strongbox. I think I know where to get the 4th but the ring event went AWOL on us in the 3rd or 4th round so we didnt manage to kill the 'Master of the Deadwatch'. Has anyone else found this ring event to be broken?And lastly, according to EQ2i the first ringlet drops off a channel lord ... can anyone tell me where to find one of those?

You need to do the arena ring event Gwyn, the legendary fighter was 'The Klaw' who spawned just before the ringmaster from memory. <p>Thanks, Pusska - The Klaw updated the quest and I got disco on the Oremana grand staff. FYI - the arena ring event had a 2 hr repop for me. It also seemed that the order in which the spectators killed had an affect on the champion that spawns. What finally worked was killing all the goblins first, then the kobolds, and finally the bugbears.</p><p>Gwyn</p>

When he is up, he spawns up on the top cliff by the chest.

I know exactly what you mean with the camping mindset. I like to watch something on tv that I know will (unfortunately) be filled with ads!I am having a problem on the permafrost server trying to spawn the 4th wave in the cliff event for this. We have tried 3 times now and we are not getting a 4th wave at all, let alone the names that are supposed to spawn in it.Is anyone aware of a bug/problem involving this at the moment?And ... is the 4th wave supposed to spawn regardless of anything else. Or do we have a chance for it to happen only? We are clearing all the mobs to get through to the 3rd wave so I don't imagine we are missing anything ... can someone please help here?Nicole

<p>I thought it only had 3 waves, the last one having the chance to spawn a named (Reverend whats-his-name), along with the other deathwatch puritans and such, but the named doesnt always spawn (saw him 2, maybe 3 times in about 7,8 tries)</p><p>Note: having camped this numerous times and it all blurring into one, and having got my channel lord finally (woot), my brain might have been turned to jelly in the process so I could well be wrong.</p>

Ok, we FINALLY got the reverend to spawn. 7 times we did the cliff ring event with no pop. Today I did it twice with two different groups and got him both times. How bizarre is that?Anyhow ... still no sign of this channel lord for the first ringlet. Can someone please confirm where this guy is for me. He does not appear to be in the cliff ring event, although he could be rarer than the reverend.Also, does anyone know what the mobs real name is?

<p>The channel lord is part of the cliff event, he spawns up on one of the cliffs (where the chest is). I saw the Reverend about 3 or 4 times before I saw the channel lord - his name is not capitalised cos he is not a named and is either called 'a kragbak channel lord' or just 'a channel lord' - I really cant remember. </p><p>I think I musta done the cliff event about 10-15 times before I got the channel lord. Note I'm guessing at how often I did it, I did it for a few days, and it was boring so it all kinda blurred into one hideously long ring event for me <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
