If you look at the class aa's you will see that they are in a tree type format.So 4-8-4-8-2 would mean 4 aa in the 1st ability, 8 in the 2nd, 4 in the 3rd, 8 in the 4th, and 2 in the 5th.....top to bottom.

So what tree is that? Char spec, Sorc spec, etc?</p><p>The last one from left to right?  sorry for being such a noob. Theres like 3 specs to choose from.. Racial ,char etc.</p>

It goes vertically down a line on the class page.  The lines each start with an attribute like STR/AGI/WIS and the first number in the set applies to how many points you put into that stat.  Most of them require that you put at least 4 into one stat/ability before you can move to the one below, but some you will want to spend 8 points (because they are very good).  Others you just want to put 4 into because that's the minimum to move on to the next one down.  You generally want to fill out one line vertically (at least to point of getting the last ability - not necessarily 8 in every box) before working on the second.
