What is considered to be the class's weakness when it comes to solo'ing dungeons? I've read about classes bragging about how they can solo places like Nest without much trouble.

Are there any areas where SK's find themselves lacking in such situations, like dps or power?

What is it while soloing a boss encounter that most SK's would consider determines the outcome of the fight; if they can do the most dmg fastest, if they can drain enough to keep their hp up the longest, or If they will have enough power to sustain all the casting?

I can only speak for my level 63 SK. I have a lot of trouble killing tripple arrow up mobs especially if they are less than 8 levels from my level. I can't kill these super heroics if I fight them plus a few buddies. Thus, I would say tripple arrow up mobs are a problem if there is less than an 8 level difference or they have social friends who help them.

As for double arrow mobs, I can take one or two at most. If there are more mobs that that, I am in trouble.

Let's be clear: shadowknights are GREAT soloers. If they get aggro, it is generally welcomed. They are built for aggro. However, if they get into more than they can handle, they don't have the large number of escape options that a necro has. They can try to run, which usually doesn't work with SK. They can try to evacuate, which works IF not interfeared with and has a high reuse timer.

Only real problem I've noticed is DPS, it simply seems to be too low for ^^^ mobs. As far as escape abilities I think the SK is amazing, Fiegn Death is fantastic.

altho we are one of the stronger soloers in the game, we are built for soloing content that is MEANT to be soloable. We are never going to be the masters of soloing dungeons.

Without some very good gear, you won't be soloing nest at 70, and I have to admit I still haven't managed to solo the last guy even at 77.

^^^s basically past anyone that can't keep them at a distance or keep it stunned. We fall into the loser category there.

IMO, the SK's solo weaknesses are foremost the fact that we're pseudo-casters (Aah, the glorious stuns and interrupts), and then our relatively low health pool. I've recently respec'd to str/agi/int (because I wanted the melee aoe and extra avoidance) from str/sta/int, and seem to be faring better than I was. Probably due to the extra avoidance from the agi line. I went from something like 29% avoidance, to over 40% in full defensive. That said, the STA line is fantastic for soloing heroic stuff IMO. The extra HP can make all the difference in the world, and Divine Aura is a life saver in those sticky situations.

Well what it comes down to is that since we are meant to be up in the mobs face when we fight that is our biggest weakness. The best solo'ers (meaning individuals that can clear zones by themselves np) are casters because they make themselves ranged the whole time. However give a caster a mob that ignores root and there is no way they are killing it. Overall SK's are good solo'ers. I was farming PP a lot when I was 70 and even the last guy was do-able.

The only other in your face better solo'er I would say are brawlers and probably brigands.

On the ^^^ heroic comments, with the right AA setup, and spell/CA timing you can take a ^^^ 4 to 5 levels lower than you with only moderate risk. I usually don't bother with ^^^ unless its a named I want to kill though, its not nearly as efficient as mass pulling blues and greens.

Hmm,, only weakness I have when solo that I can think of is shinys.. Must be the draogn blood in me or something but I HAVE TO HAVE THEM heheh. so often ill be grabbing a shiny and 2 or 3 mobs will path into me forcing me to aoe them to death and gets blood on my boots. other then the cleaning lady complaining solo is an absolute cake walk for an SK. I solo solo stuff if its a 2 up or less heroic yellow or less ill solo it. if its a 3 up is much harder the closer to level they are but is doable killin 3 ups 1 or 2 levels below ya if ya keep your debuffs in and your blessing on. I suppose the biggest thing that makes soloing near level 3ups possible for me is that i hex doll the crap out of htem hehe. on those i pull with slow hex and cast mit debuff hex as they are coming in. then ae taunt, wis debuff, despoil, blessing, pet, taps, dots dots and more dots keep up your dots, toss in a knockdown here and there, rinse repeat replacing debuffs as neccessary. I use my pet lots, and even if the mob is in the deep red ill recast him on a heroic mob, it pays to keep your siphon str up on them as well every point of stats counts when soloing heroic. as far as clearing heroic instances ehh, personally im not into it. Dont see hte point of going backwards in content just to solo something that the loot im just gonna give to a guild transmuter thats already maxed out. Im not in full legend or fabled wearing mostly MC t8 but i am nearly fully adorned and have 40% avoid in offensive 52% in def, so that accounts for my somewhat easier time of soloing heroic mobs. still though a RoK heroic gets a few big shots in early i'll have to feign and reset em but im stubborn so i keep pulling them till they die hehe. have yet to solo a heroic rok named though doubt that will be even possible until im full fabled in t8 but even then im not sure it would be doable. .

I'm not a big soloing fan....but when I must, I don't notice any real issues.

We kill decently fast, can take on hordes of weaker mobs (good for farming coing/quests).....can take on strong mobs as well (~ even con ^^^ in EoF....will see in RoK once I've geared up a bit more, haven't tested much yet)...can get pretty much anywhere (and quickly) with evac/DA/FD.....have very high survivability Evac/DA/FD etc...

Its a strong soloing tank class, no doubt.
