How big is the cone on fusion? I 6 box, and I want to be able to cast fusion while on /follow distance from my tank. would I need a couple points in it or no? I've always heard its an extremely short range.

Not big. Get the 4 AAs for it, they are really nice.Create a macro to start MELEE before casting fusion : then you'll face mobs. In /follow, I bet you'll miss some mobs but better than missing them all because you were in thr wrong direction.

Fusion takes some practice to get down. If you want to maximize the spell (aka hit 3 targets ) you're gonna need to play with it a bit. it's radius is -very- small, esp with no AA in it. The mobs will need to be close together.

Huge increase in coverage making it much easier to target. One of the biggest problems with Fusion is making sure you are aligned with the target. To help with that problem turn your Fusion into a macro by adding the command Toggleautoattack before the Fusion spell. This will force your character to turn straight toward the target cutting down the misses substantially.

Another question. Does fusion land on what your facing when you start casting it, or when your finished casting it?

For example, i face one way and start casting fusion on mob A, we get 2 adds behind us, Mobs B and C. I turn to face them, while still casting fusion. Who would it hit when it goes off?

If you understand well the way fusion works, this means you MUST move to be sure that the 3 mobs that you want to hit are in the same axis (more or less) because 60° is a lot less than 1/4 of a circle ; then if you are not at the right place you'll miss. You'll have to learn how to move as fast as possible, or better guess where mobs are going to stop around tank .. because you can't cast while moving, right ? then no damages, then DPS goes down of course. In raid, the problem can come from ... raid leader ! when they are not aware that you need to be rather close to mobs for fusion (or Forge of Ro of course with its nice debuff) they tend to ask casters to be far from mob (in case of AE mobs of course). And a fusion far from mob is like a kiss without mustache.

For the mele macro with fussion. i use the AA skill from the agi line called ambigius casting. Its a mele atack that can be used while castin a spell. It adds some free ekstra damage and a strifel efefct. Nothing big, but a nice way to get somthing out of those 4 aa Yours Ithile

Yes melee will align your character well with your target. It helps significantly against LARGE targets (dragons). However, once you are used to the technique, I would recommend -not- doing that(toggling on AA)...especially if you are hitting multiple mobs with it (which you should definetly do). You'll come to the same conclusion the first time you line em up, toggle melee then cast and 2 mobs move slightly away cuz the tank sneezed but you're locked on one mob. There went 40,000 damage. But, and I'm just going off memory here from the first time i read this thread, the OP is more concerned about his boxing wiz and fusion...then i would cast it then tab to the healer and start healing the wiz, lol.

I agree with you SD, macroing the melee is mandatory for fusion if one is playing a wizard as a follower.
