So explored Chardok throughly - with good group were in there about 4hours - killed maybe 10 names or more including the Queen and we get? Wood wood wood, 1 legendary with crap healer loot in it, wood, wood wood etc... its just so depressing and we wont be back. Its a really effort to get deep in there since you have to fight most of the way and it goes orange. It also feels somewhat unfinished as a zone no quests to pick up in there, and no rings that we found. QED return versus effort of being there is just not worth it. So, pull your fingers out SoE and sort out the loot tables on these mobs. Its a complete joke. Whats the point of exploring these area whe n the return is so not worth it. RoK loot on named in dungeons has just been so disappointing. I used to get excited seeing named now they feel just like anything mob cept with a title. There is just no point going to these deep places if the rewards are just not there and it kills the game.

Open zones aren't worth going to. Even though they claimed to have improved drop rates and amount of nameds several times, you still get mostly wood. Sure they tried to make improvements to make us go there, but Sebilis and Kurnak have shown that it's still futile to hope for drops. To make things worse you only find weak groups for zones like that (i.e. inexperienced and low level) because everybody who knows how to play or has a high level, doesn't want to go there and waste his time. That results in wipes that just add to the frustration.Even the popular instances are somewhat frustrating. 90% of legendary loot goes to the NPC/transmuter (even in random pickup groups) and that's only from occasional non-wood chests. Legendary most of the time means you get 40g instead of 15 from an NPC . I didn't get a single item (except for quest items in Jarsath) out of T8 instances yet, even though I only had year old KoS fabled armor. Really takes a lot of fun out of the game if you know you'll just get junk.

I completely disagree with the posters so far. The time I've spent in Chardok has been a lot of fun...and rewarding. My guild has looted a lot of Masters out of the zone, especially from the castle area. The difficulty of getting to the good areas of the zone is actually a refreshing change from the normal mind-numbingly, boring instance zones that we are used to. Drops rates can be finicky at best...don't judge a zone based on a RNG problem.

The zone itself is huge, well laid out, and looks great...plenty of places to explore and have fun. There is an interesting ring event just past the zone-in area. There are plenty of quests inside the zone as well. The questline begins outside of Chardok with the non-aggro Gwalnax Sarnaks.

I won't disagree that drop rates need to be tweaked, but to blackball a very good zone like this is, quite frankly, dumb.
