Am I missing something or are these items basically worthless given the ease of the kunark quest/faction rewards? I'm a 79 warlock and I've replaced all my (really [Removed for Content] expensive) mastercrafted items with cheap vendor legendaries and legendary quest/faction rewards.Apologies if others have brought this up already but there is no market for the items in the slots mentioned in this topic unless I'm missing something. No +sp dmg/crit? No regen? (speaking of 76 fire emerald items) Why would I wear that? I truly feel like I am missing something..icc

I am sorry you wasted your money on those items. My main is a jeweler and I lost interest in leveling him when I saw how poor T8 jewelry is. (I've never been interested in making spells.) Imbued rings are the exception, particularly the strength one, but are not enough on their own. Mastercrafted jewelery in T7 wasn't that much better. The price of the rares is kept high because they are also used for adept IIIs, so the jewelry was overpriced for what it did. But T7 handcrafted resistance jewelry did sell, to begining raiders looking to make sure they had a complete set of resists. Since there were 15 in a set they probably hanot yet got better drops for all of them, mastercrafted was too expensive, and handcrafted would do the job. Unfortunately for six of the seven resistances T8 handcrafted resistance jewelry is worse than T7. So for ten of the slots T7 is still better, and the other five depend on how common the one that T7 missed (divine) is in T8. Domino wrote that "maybe" she will review mastercrafted jewelry. IThat would be good, though I think I'd prefer it if she looked at the resistance jewelry first.

Consider this. If T8 resist jewelery were better, more rares would be used up made to make it. This would leave fewer rares for adept III's on broker. Which in turn would drive up prices on gems and stones even higher. Consequently, improving T8 jewelry stats would be totally evil.Aina NymousTier'Dal brigandGuardians of Drinal

But as a jeweler I disagree that it would be totally evil. I would be happy if I could make products using rare gems that were as valuable as the ones sages can make. from the same rares. But he resists on T8 mastercrafted jewelry are already better than on T7 mastercrafted, and I was not asking for them to be improved. That is not where the problem is. There was a market for cheap resistance jewelry for beginning raiders to use until they could get legendary and fabled stuff for all slots and types of resistances. Mastercrafted will not be cheap enough for that whilst it shares a rare with adept IIIs. It is the handcrafted stuff that is important.
