Permafrost Book Quests

My boyfriend and me have been hunting book quest drop starters in Permafrost that are supposed to drop from giants. But we haven't found a single one.Can anyone confirm they still drop at all? If so, can anyone confirm they drop from grey mobs?Thanks.

Still have several books in that area I need to finish but you can kill literally hundreds to reportedly thousands of greys before drops occur. Same in Feerrott. I have a single book in Feerrott I need and I simply got tired of killing there. I even mentored a toon on a second account and leveled that toon and greyed out the zone before I found the book. That, to me, is simply too rare...especially for a book of lore that really doesnt affect gameplay and the book I need is a reported No-Trade drop. /sigh

I asked about book QUESTS, not book COLLECTION pages.But nevertheless, if they still drop, they are far too rare.

That was kind of the whole point of adding in the ! and body drop pages.

I know. But there are about 10 book quests in <span style="color: #cc0033;">Perma</span>frost. They have never been changed to collection quests.

I spend some time in Permafrost trying to get the books, not really long but still an hour or two, pretty much constantly killing.Only one book dropped for me, Age of Scale.I also own Words of Freedom from Permafrost, must have gotten it from a guildie, but that was a fairly recent drop as well I believe.On the rarity of the books, I more then agree... they're way to rare for my liking. I completed 5 books in Perma so far and I finished when I was lvl 57 (60 now). They dropped off giants. Just do the quests in the big round room to the left of the entrance past the big white dragon (!) , DO NOT step on the tile there lol. Those quests will request that you kill loads and loads of different types of giants and in order to get to them you'll have to kill a lot more on the way there and back. Keep trying and you'll get them.

Don't mean to derail, but has anyone gotten any of the drop books in RE?  I've killed literally thousands of mobs there grinding with guildies and PUGs and haven't seen one single book drop.  I'm looking for Horguz, The Pawn, History II and III...zilch!
