I love how call of the hero worked in eq1.Now that i've been playing EQ2 for a month. I wanted to start a conjurer, however, I understand that EQ1 is not EQ2, and because of that, the spells might not work the same. Before I start a conjurer, and spend months of time lvling, can someone please explain and answer my questions. PLEASE!1. can you call someone in your group from any where in the zone?2. Does the person you call lose all the agro from the mobs, thats chasing him.3. What is the recast time of call of the hero. Can you cast it, then cast it again, or is there a long cool down for this spell?4. Can you call someone who is already in battle, or maybe not in battle yet, but has mob agrro and is running for his life.5. Does it take a component to cast this spell, and is it easy to get. Please help. Example, the enchanters memory blur in EQ1 is way better then in EQ2. It wipes all agro off the list. In EQ2, it doesn't. Things like this makes the spell a little different. Thanks

Thanks so much!

1. the other person needs to accept by clicking a box to get called - that is different than eq1

2. the accept box is avaliable for ( 30 sec ?) so if the person is making a dangerous jump you are able to save them a death.

3. Jester cap spell can speed up the wait time between casting but with the NEW 2 mins recast not really needed now.

4. two conj did try to call of the hero each other at the same time and were never seen again.

------------------------

There is a tinkered item call "call of the tinkerer" which does a reverse coth ie it moves the caster to the targeted group/raid member

This charm item can cost 15 to 20 plat ( unlimited charges) BUT the user needs to be high level AND a high level tinkerer.

-------------------------

If someone is on one of the auto-mounts (Griffon, Sokokar, Cloud), they won't get the COTH window but you'll lose the component and get the 2min recast. So be carefull not to COTH someone in that condition.

Also, COTH will hit anyone in your Raid, they don't have to be grouped with you.

The spell is level 52 rather than 55 like it was in EQ1. All spell qualities work the same and if you do have it made by a player, the recipe scroll is somewhat of an uncommon item.

I also saw an item once on the broker... I think it was called Orb of Summoning. It was a while back and can't recall the details about the item. But I do remember it was quite expensive.

Yeah that's the crap drop from the Festering hag in Unrest IIRC. And it has charges I think.

Yep. Orb of Summoning has 4 or 5 charges, and you have to be level 70 to use it. My little fury was level 65 when she won that silly thing, and it's still sitting in the bank now that shes 72. Shows how useful it is

It's 4 charges. And the Orb of Teleportation is better IMO...it's the one that summons the user to his target.

Target group member -> Use Orb -> Begin COTHs. Sadly it's only 4 charges as well

Yeah, in combat won't work.
