Best class to duo with for a ranger?

<p>So what goes well with a Ranger?  My gf is going to start playing and she is not the best at games so I need a class that won't die easily and can do some dps.  She has played my tank in wow and liked it so I was thinking a swash, but I don't know much about this game so I just wanted some other ideas.  From what I read I think the assassin would be to hard for her to play as well.  Also I'm neutral, so I'm not sure if she has to be neutral as well or not, like I said still new at the game.  Figured she could tank and I could shot from a distance.  Any input will help, thanks!</p>

based on what you're saying ... paladin. Can tank and siphon aggro from you via amends spell line ... some heals etc

She should play a monk or bruiser, better DPS. Fights will end quicker. In a duo situation your not grinding tough ^^^ mobs. Usually your grinding out quests or easier mobs. So anything to make it quicker is a nice addition.

would say monk or coercer.Monk can stand at mob and tank it while you pluck away from ranged, or coercer can almost perma stun/root a mob at a distance, while you both plow into it at range.
