Question about the Stamina line?

<p>I was pondering over this the other day, I saw a Guardian with a really nice looking Tower shield.  To me, when I see a tank I think awesome protection and the classic weapon and shield look.  With that in mind I wonder why the devs didn't use a tower shield in the Stamina line instead of the buckler?  To me that makes more sense....</p>

It's a give and take type of thing...sure you can take the buckler line and lose survivability but you gain DPS.  In EoF the survivability loss was so minimal that the majority of MT's went buckler to lock down aggro.  With RoK where epic mobs hit like a ton of bricks and you get the extra 20 AAs you see more MT's (like myself) are spec'ing away from buckler and going tower.
