going to start one in the next few days in link that would help me to understand the class and which pets are the best to charm am going to start in the greater faydark thanks for the help

<p>One of the best things to do to better understand the coercer and what it does is to look over some of the sticky threads here, read through the spells and what they do, read some of the posts made here and other forums, ask a lot of questions, etc. </p><p>You can't start a coercer in Gfay cause that means you would be an illusionist. Coercers are evil. You can start in DLW though if you are wanting a fae type. Another thing to consider, erudites have an ability that is great for coercers called "Aura Vision." That allows you to see what type of mobs you are charming....a green aura = priest type mob, blue aura = mage type mob. If you don't want an erudite, you can wait til you are lvl 65 so you can equip the Thaumatoscopic Goggles (tinkered item) that grants you aura vision. </p><p>The best mobs to charm are the mage mobs and have them fight ranged. The charmed mage can nuke and you can root, stun, stifle, and dps some. Sometimes if I can't find a mage mob to charm, I just charm whatever mob I need for a quest and chain charm or something like that. I just make sure that my pet doesn't die so I can kill it for for the quest update. When doing that though, I try to get my pet's health down to almost nothing so when I release it, 1 nuke kills it. </p><p>Master charm spell > adept 3 etc, even if a tier lower than the current charm spell. </p>
