My Shadow Knight is really my second character to heavily play. I soloed a Troubador up to level 66 before I had to start grouping (pre-RoK), and currently he's at 72. However, I've grown very discouraged with my Troubador for a number of reasons, and you can imagine the drastic contrast between the soloing ability of my Troub and SK. So, I'm leveling my SK at break neck speed with hope of playing with my level 70+ friends soon. We mainly do single group instances and what not, and our group make up is just a mishmash of whatever characters we feel like bringing along, taking into account we've got the basics covered, of course. We do pretty well. Anyway, back to the SK. He's currently level 47 with 55 AP's. So far, I've sunk my AP's into INT ( 4/4/8/8 ), WIS ( 4/4/1 and counting ), and gone down the Reaver line. I'll go down the Hate line next. I want the end ability (can't...remember...name...aaarrrggg!!!) because I'm sick of my troub getting feared, and I want the group skill increasing ability. My questions are these:

1) Is there a better way to spend my AP points giving that a) I'll mostly be doing single group instances and b) may not always be tanking?

2) Is the end ability of the INT line worth having?

3) I have doubts about how often the anti-Fear ability at the end of the WIS line will be useful. Will it be useful enough to make it worth the AP's?

4) What's a good way to spend my extra 20/20 RoK points if I stick with WIS/INT and Hate/Reaver? Should I just enhance the ones in the Hate/Reaver line? What's in the other two lines that are worth having? In the Crusader tree, should I go for STR or STA? Also, should I take 4 points out of heal crits so I can get the end STR ability, or are the 4 points of heal crits worth worth by passing it?

5) A paladin is often tanking our single group. Is adding a SK, who is also a crusader, and complete waste? As I said, we don't normally pay attention to classes beyond having a tank and a healer or two (depending on what we're doing). But I hate feeling useless. I figure there's still enough things I bring to the group to add value, but I'd like to hear what you guys think.

I realize the "best way" to distribute AP's is subjective, but I'd really like to read opinions and good discussion on the matter. I'd like to read something to get me thinking (besides...it's a slow day at work). After spending this much time working on AP's, I'd really like to get the most out of them. Also, I don't have all of my spells/CA's yet, so I'm not sure about how what's coming should affect my AP choices.

Thanks,

Trayt, 46 Shadow Knight

Kreylin, 72 Troubador

I just came back to the game after being gone for a few months, but the way it used to be was that the heal crits were useless for an sk. Our heals are mostly lifetaps and based off of the the spell crit ability, not sure if that's changed in the last couple of months.

Im a 68 sk with about 67 aa points, right now on the crusader line I have int up to the spell crit, have the str line finished, on sk line I have reaver line and am starting to work on the hate line. I will probably max the dd spell/attack in the str and int line just for the extra damage, finish the hate line, then not sure from there.

go 4-4-8 int, all you need, then go into the sk tree to get reaver, after that, anything but wisdom is good.
