Sorry for sush a noob question but it's been almost 2 years since I played, and alot of things have changed.I notice some posts of people saying thier betraying from bruiser to monk but cant find any recent ones, can you do this? is it worth it? do i become a monk? would i want to be a monk versus a bruiser?

It is very easy to do, Its just simply betraying from Freeport/Neriak to Kelethin/qeynos. At the moment it would be best just to wait on betrayal though. Things really arent working as they should in the game. Mobs are hitting for so much it doesnt matter if your the more defensive or more offensive. mobs will either just beat on you or just 1 shot you, theres no inbetween.

What exactly were you looking to do. Go and try to do those things. See if you can still do them. I left for 2 years myself, left right before KOS came out and just returned a few months ago. I still love being a bruiser, I loved it then, however I couldnt trust that with the new AA systems coming online that we would be treated as our own class or simply made evil monks.

The debate is still out on that but I cant say Im disapointed with how we are. I think we are still viable but then I never wanted to be the best at anything. We are a hybrid, we are at the bottom of the tanking ability of fighters but I have yet to see any other fighter outdamage me (I dont group or raid so its entirely possible they can, but since I aint seen it, it dont irritate me. Ignorance is bliss).

Play the character, if you have fun, you win. If you dont have fun, try something else. Remember though with betraying you lose any skill upgrades....all your skills get set to Apprentice 1 (not sure about the 50+ skills even getting an App 1).

I love my Bruiser the best. I can survive so many situations soling it's unreal. We have so many things we can do.......
Don't betray. End of.

The monk is not any better than the bruiser right now. If you are unhappy with the bruiser class I suggest either trying to lobby the devs to get the class changed for the better or just reroll something else.

One gerneral thing : if you really want to betray, betray to Kelethin and after that change citizenship to Qeynos because thats much easier than go directly to Qeynos.
