I mostly solo, have been putting points into the Int line. I plan to go at least 4-8-8 in it. Is it worth going totally through, I really have no idea how Immunities and Scourge work. Also, which tree would complement this one best? I hear alot of advice for Str, but I swear I hate that dog. I had considered AGI, but not sure if it's worth it.Thanks.

I tried out the entire int line for a bit, but honestly couldn't get used to Scourge. I think it has more applications for the PVP shaman to be honest, as I haven't found too many situations where it would strip buffs from the mob that would make a huge difference to the outcome of the fight. Some other more hardcore int-line defilers might be able to say differently, but it didn't float my boat too much.

For soloing I'd personally stay with what you have so far (int 4-8-8 ), then run down the AGI line. The extra melee/heal crits can make a bit of a difference for soloing. I'm not overly sure about the very last AA in the line, though. I have it right now, but I don't solo much anymore and didn't notice too big of a difference when I did.

Lastly, when I started my defiler I started with STR line. Defensively, it helps a ton while soloing since you have the extra wards procing from the pet. It took me a while to convince myself to spec out of that line, but I would agree it's handy to have while soloing (but only if you fully max it out). The line is honestly not worthwhile unless you can get the last ability to keep the dog alive on AE attacks.

But really it depends on what sort of soloing you're looking for. If you just want to kill much, much faster, INT/AGI (down to at least the melee/nuke crits maxed out) is the way to go and requires less AA's spent on those two trees. If you just want to be able to take your time and last indefinately if need be, the STR line is almost a must for a soloing defiler (along with canni from class).

Right now at level 20 I have 443 INT and I am absolutely loving it! I am killing things extremely fast, Rabies, then my attack chain and things are done. I was debating going down Str next for the dog buffs but 9 times out of 10 I don't even have the dog out. I think I will take the advice of the above poster and hit Wisdom next.
