Deepearth Runes--Do they exist?

I've been stuck at 6/15 Deepearth Runes forever, and now I can't go any further with Staff of the Observers without being able to parlay with the Grikbar Outcast in his native tongue. After slaying all the Kobolds in Steamfont several times, I have yet to see another Deepearth Rune. The only thing I get when I search for this on the forums is a Developer Roundtable from August of 2007 implying that they are no longer dropping. Are they still around? I just did this language quest like 2 days ago. I got all my runes killing in Butcherblock in less than an hour, so yes they still drop.

<p>Language items changed a few GU's ago. If you started the quest before it changed <b>you may need to delete the quest and restart it</b>. The reason is that only the first item actually drops, which you then inspect to start the quest, the rest are auto-updates. Also, language items are now LORE so if you have an item in inventory -- like one that says 6/15 -- then no new ones will drop.</p><p>I am not sure if this is the language you need but you can <b>buy</b> Sebelisian (sp?) from a language merchant now too, btw. I have seen it on the linguistics merchant in the crafting area in Neriak and assume that there are similar merchants in the other major cities.</p>

the language he needs is Serillian, Not Sebilisian. and yes, you probably just need to delete/restart the Language quest.

Eep! Indeed, it is Serillian. Brell will be rather peeved with me for that slip!I moved to Butcherblock tonight and found runes there, so thank-you for the tip!
