Fens: the crater

If you follow down the river, starting in the lake of Ill Omen, there is a strange stony formation halfway between lake of Ill Omen and Kunzar Jungle. The river crosses it and in the bottom there is a wooden fence with some sort of a gate in it. actually you can't get in, all the ways both top and bottom are (obv) blocked ingame. But, still, the formation itself looks like some sort of a crater, but the cliff edges are shaped inside the pit, not outside, so that doesn't really look like a crater, nor does like an artificial creation. Moreover, there are elevators to the top of the canyon near it, and no other beings but crocodiles are likely to get down there, and ones who are..unfortunate enough..to get down most likely won't need an elevator taking the height into consideration. (the inhabitants of tomb of thuuga arent most likely supposed to get out of their small cavern, and are not welcome by the ixsar, who seem to have built those lifts). So, this structure is supposed to be somewhat, that needs regular human (or is it really human?) visits, and, thus, some lifts. The question is - what is this structure, what is inside it, and what does real gameplay and content have to do with lore (i mean, aren't thay going to implement, say, a new instance right there? That would make sense, maybe some sort of a froglock hideout? Or even a castle? well, not quite makes sense...)Any ideas?

The huge crevace in Swamp of No Hope, where they built Sathir's Span, was probably created by the Rending or something. I know there wasn't anything like that in EQlive (unless you VERY LOOSELY associate the cave that lead from Swamp to Trakanon's Teeth in EQlive.)

This makes sense and anyway i thought of the Rending..but after that this crevace was adopted to some use, and i have no idea of what it might be. The gates down below look too similiar to ones in nek forest leading to Underrot (sp?) caverns (bloodlines adv pack)

i've dropped down in there and actually thought it was the zoneline for kunzar at first, then realized it was the next gorge, but yes, ive often wondered what that gate lead to

i mean not just in the river, but inside the stones. I can't get to the top of it because of 'transparent walls' on the cliff edges, so falling inside it seems somewhat difficult.

<p>Taking the Sokakar from Western Pens to the Span,  I was able to jump off and fall down it.  Im a Dark Elf, so I have hover (which is insanely funny to watch by the way, a full plate wearing class slowly and gently floating down like a feather lol) and it took a while, but eventually I actually fell through the world.</p><p> I dont remember where I heard this, perhaps just a rumor, but I remember hearing somewhere that the are reserving that spot for an instance at some point (?)</p>

Hover is intended not to work while mounted, and really doesn't while on horse/carpet/warg, but try out with a rhino - <b>that</b> looks really funny
