Ellos mate

I'm not sure about Necro vs Conj, its a very subjective issue and depends on what parts of the game we are talking, aka grinding fast exp, or killing tripple up yellow heroics (can conj's even do that?) and so on.

At level 14, you dont even have your "real" tank pet yet, so anything you can summon "will" work as a tank for you.

Definitely use the defensive stance for solo'ing, if you are a necro yes.

And dont worry, if you are looking for a powerful solo class, you will not find much better than us Necro's.

As I usually say: "We are kings among solo'ers before we get Tainted Heals, but we are GOD's among solo'ers after we get it"

Most importantly though, have fun

I have not played a conj more than 10 levels but I have now been working a lot with my newly created Sarnak necro. Wow...I am so impressed with the necro. I can understand why they are so popular. The things that they can do and kill is amazing and so much fun!!

This necro may turn out to be my new main...hehe

I'm leveling both, and I think they're both pretty powerful so far. I like them both for different reasons.

I suggest trying both out and seeing which one is more fun for you. They're both excellent solo characters.

I played a conj as my main and hit 70 with him just after KoS came out. I had been with the class since I originally rolled the toon at launch.

A few months ago I betrayed over to Necro. I love and respect the conj class, but as a necro I am so much more powerful. My parse on group mobs dropped a bit (not a lot though), but my raw power went up several levels. I could only kill to the third named in the nest with my 70 conj. He was half mastered/half adept III. I betrayed and went back in as a necro with a few adept I's and mostly App IVs. The only mob I failed to kill was the end guy. I did it in less time and with no deaths (beyond several to the last mob).

I love the conj, but at the moment they are overshadowed by the necromancer IMO.

I really miss CoH however.

also, i know this has been asked a million times but I get mixed messages. For solo PVE what's the best line to go down . Stam/wis/int?? They all look good. DO your stats transfer over to your pet?

I can solo yellow ^^^'s with ease, this solo debate crap is re-tarded. Bottom line is the Necromancer playstyle for solo'ing make a whole hell of a lot more sense than the Conjuror's style, and that's why so many people SUCK as Conjuror's because they don't take the time to learn anything.

I played a conj till 68 and now my necro is 60. They can be compared as both classes are summoners, but the playstyle is completely different.

I would probably give the necro the edge but i have to say conjurors are extremely tough as well and can take pretty much everything a necro can.

You ust have to completely understand how they both should be played and take advantage of everything at your disposal. Bashing one or the other is really not needed as they are both very well equipped for solo play style.

Enough people who played Mages(EQOA version of Conjuror) griped that SOE caved in and nerfed the Necro's pets into oblivion. Because of that Mage's pets became overpowered in comparing the two afterwards. Thankfully both Summoner classes in this game are pretty equal in what thay can take down. Necro's can just live through more because of lifetaps and fein death.

Without question, debate, or arguement, Tainted Heals is what you should shoot for FIRST if solo PVE is your thing. After that there can be some debate, the rotting line is uber, but so is Perceptors Command in the STA line.

Tainted Heals is without a doubt the meal ticket for solo PVE. PERIOD!

It's a little bit, but not enough to notice really. I just dinged 40 and I've found the tank in defensive mode is really able to survive quite a bit with tainted heals going off. However, I now run the scout pet in offensive stance and it does about 6x the damage. The only thing it lacks is the hit points. It's about 65% of the tank. If I go up against a tougher mob I still switch to the tank due to the extra hit points, damage absorption and taunting ability. I only have the pet abilities picked in the necro tree as well as tainted heals right now. I honestly haven't touched my mage pet in a while... not since it died to a pair of 1down greens in Nek Forest. The long end of the story is to get Tainted Heals if you're soloing. You can't do the same stuff without it. I'm at 40 right now and I still am discovering what abilities work well in each situation.

I am still trying to figure out what the post title had to do with his question?

Maybe he knew that posting a thread with that title would certainly make all of us read it...

Doesnt matter which is more powerful. Necros are cooler. Also, conj don't bring much to the group besides DPS and Call of the Hero.
