This has actually been happening the past few days, but it has become serious just today. Here it is: I open the launch pad and log in, which goes fine. It then proceeds to the character scan, which has been taking extra long for some reason. It gets to the end and the play button activates but it says "UPDATING". If I wait it then switches to play, but if I click it I get an error that says "Error- There was a problem accessing your account information". It tells me to try again later and then contact customer support. First, how do I contact customer support? And can anyone tell me why it does this. Oh, and I did try a full scan, same result.

Try this it worked for me. First i went to every single application in the sony folder and - disabled "read only" --made them all "run as administrator"-Made them all "compatible with XP SP2" then I downloaded the station launcher and patched it from there. Heres the link: http://launcher.station.sony.com/ then I made sure my firewall recognized EQ2 as not being a threat. Finally I started the game by running a desktop shortcut of "everquest2.exe" as an administrator. Problems all gone. Note: avoid running the game from EQ2.exe, even as an administrator.

I am trying the station launchpad beta now.

Well the station launchpad isn't doing anything. I may have to uninstall and then reinstall the game.

Yes, my sister just took vista off her laptop and put on XP, boots insanely fast now, though. Still having problems so I am launching from EverQuest2.exe after scanning.
