Ok, I am still new to this game, and might be missing something in the game settings. I generally try and quest without using coordinates and web sites like alakhazam (in past mmo's I have played), however when I spend a long time trying to find the place to go for a quest, then I make an exception. Does EQ2 have a coordinate system, or are there addons I can download and install? I am not looking to cheat and use it on every quest, just the ones I get really really stuck on.

/waypoint x y z (you can also shorten it to /way x y z)If you are far from the point, it will give you a direction in your chat window every so often. If you are close, it will give you a glowy path. Note: the path is not smart but as the crow flies. It's often through walls and other such obstacles and can disappear into the terrain at times, too.

You can also get your current coordinates by typing /loc

Mousing over the compass also gives you your coordinates, and even if you are far away from your destination it will show up on your map.

I use EQ2 Maps... Its a add-on Map UI. it helps out a lot for those pesky cant find um moments. Also you will find that EQ2 isnt really clear in the quests sometimes as to where you need to find stuff. Especially if you have never been to the place you need to go. You will spend a ton of time running around just to find your not even in the right area of a zone.
