I played eq2 when it launched up until around 45ish. I came back a few months ago and have progressed to 77. I 2box a warlock, my wife plays an inquisitor and assassin (also 2 boxing). All are level 77-78.

Most of my gear has been upgraded doing the various quest lines in RoK. My problem is tanking even con heroic mobs, or in some cases 2 levels lower than me. Yesterday we went to Sebilis for the first time for a few quests we had. We agroed a group of 2 2ups that were even con to usand pretty much got owned. I died just before we finished off the first mob. This has been the story on most heroic encounters we have come accross.

Is this just how RoK is, or is there something I am missing? I totally get dungeons being geared for level 80, but being as close as I am I think we should be able to handle some heroic stuff without this much difficulty. I've read other posts where lower level tanks were clearing dungeons/instances with no trouble, so what's the difference? Do I need a full group with two healers? Will it get easier at 80? Do I need to ditch my wife and get a better healer? Is four characters not enough to fight heroic stuff anymore?

I don't expect it to be a cakewalk, but if we can't kill trash mobs at the entrance of a dungeon I'm not very optimistic about getting deeper in or trying to kill a named. I'm not blaming SOE or asking for stuff to be easier, just trying to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Thanks for your time
