So if I have a Master 1 lvl 66 Mez that is 26% harder to resist and resistability increases against mobs greater than lvl 86, then is that resist pretty much flat so that there's no point in upgrading unless you encounter a lvl 87 mob?

Or is there some type of scaling in the way that mitigation works where it's 26% harder for a lvl 66 mob but against a higher level it drops?

Edit: Yeah the reason why I brought this up was because I was invited to a MC group at lvl 78 and had a ton of problems with mezzing the adds from the Sandman. Resists left and right and so for now I respec'd to the mez AA line but if it was my M1 lvl 66 charm that was giving me the problems then I can respec out back to spell crits.

I don't believe you can upgrade the level 66 mez (Enrapture) until 77 (Hold Mind), so that's the best you'll get for now. Our mezzes rely on the Subjugation skill, so any gear or AAs you can invest in to improve Subjugation will help. The 4th skill in the Enchanter WIS line is huge: Dreamweaver's Trance. I saw a very big jump in Mez/Charm reliability after plunking 8 points into it.

Ah, sorry, I misread your level in your post Ijai. Based on the spell descriptions, I'd have to agree with your analysis tho. M1 > Ad3, if the mob is within the range affected by the spell. Maybe someone with more experience than I will chime in.

No there is no reason to upgrade the spell if you have the prior tier M1 in this case.

All damaging spells were _supposed_ to have been checked to make sure that the A3 of T8 is higher damage than the M1 of T7, so that shouldn't be an issue. But spells that simply have their resistability increase aren't worth upgrading unless you get the spell for free.

Also, it's not like restability becomes 100%. I accidentally was using a mez spell that resistability increased against mobs 8 levels lower than what I was fighting. It took awhile before I actually realized it because I was running as a Dreamweaver when leveling and the massive +subj bonus offset the resistance.
