I am wondering how well a ranger would 2 box with a necro...I figure in order to get full use of necro dps to use the tank pet and not have to worry about tossing heals to a group mate.. so I thought possibly the ranger since even though he is tier 1 dps you can be careful even to watch your aggro and demolish mobs pretty fast from a distance, and be able to throw a root on in time if you do pull it off the pet?.

.I do not know if there is much logic in my thoughts of just in case agro is peeled that the ranger is at a distance so a quick root would stop him... or snare or fear... and the fact of him being a distance from the mob the necro would not have to really heal except in situations that are grim and in that case they are probably both going to die... then i suppose the necro can always FD then rez. Any insight would be very helpfull.

Also would I be able to name farmed again if I was careful not to pull of the arggo

Again any insight to this would be very appreciated, as I think they would be a fun and effective combo, but think is the key word

I don't 2-box, but I think a ranger would pull agro from the pet most of the time unless your tank is hate speced boosted and you tone down the ranger dps - and dps is all the ranger offers.

If you are looking for a scout, I think I would probably pick a troub over a ranger for a 2 box addition to a necro. The added buffs from the troub would benefit the necro and tank pet to a lesser extent, and the troub's dps isn't that shabby, I'm not sure about how many positional attacks a troub has and how this would limit your attacks. You would have to be up close with the troub instead of ranged.

Nice thing about the troub is that both characters could start from / live in the same city, where with the ranger/necro you will be coming from two different cities.
