Hey all,

I play on the Befallen server, and before deploying in Oct, my Sk was 70/97. I know the new expansion is out, caps are raised to 80/140, and there's a ton of new stuff to do and see- my question is, what is there that I can aactually get to/look forward to as a casual, non-raiding SK? My work schedule and other commitments keep me from even considering raiding on a regular basis, though I have done some.

How's the new content look and feel, are Sk's finally getting some respect, and, in general, what's been goin on in the last 3 months? Any input would be appreciated, cuz here in Bahrain, the net's a bit shifty to really try getting online, assuming I can ever finish the RoK patches.

Thanks in advance.

Tanj

Befallen

Flying Dinosaurs

Well hopefully you are having a good X-mas...and thanks for the service

The good news is that since you are a solo/casual player leveling to 80 is not going to be bad at all. It is made to be solo quested up until level 80. As far as the state of shadowknights, that is a matter of opinion as usual. I like what I am able to do, seems like a good increase in dps, at least for the moment. Tank ability is ok, group-wise though tanking is fine for us.

My take on RoK so far is that I am really enjoying it. The instances are better and the raids are better. I really did not enjoy EoF, got bored with it, however I can see RoK keeping my attention for a long time. If you want feel free to contact me in-game if you have any questions.

Deule

80 SK Befallen

Duele- thanks very much for the reply, I'll look you up in game when I'm finally able to log in, otherwise it'll be some time in April when we get back. Also, thanks for you note about service, not to sound silly but it makes a difference to hear that.

I'm glad to hear they didn't beat us down with RoK, and I'm really anxious to see how the EQ2 versions of some zones match with my memories of the old EQ ones. How have you found the added 20 pts per AA tree? Some of the stuff on the Ach forum makes it sound like it's not very useful, but I can already see where those points will go pretty fast, and just add more-better goodness to my playstyle and abilities.

See you around, eventually :)

Tanj

The extra AA's in the crusader tree are definitely nice imo. Gives you much more options depending on your playstyle to build your character the way you want, whether it is all DPS, all Tanking, or DPS/Tank. On the other hand the extra AA's in the Shadowknight tree seem to be worthless. There is just not that much goodness in the SK tree that you don't already get with the other AA's before RoK. So the extra 20 in the SK tree really doesn't seem to make that much of a difference.
