I'm only level 1, and I'm trying to run to the griffon master to fly to Timorous Deep. I've made it to Butcherblock, but everyone keeps telling me to just take a griffon to the docks, but the griffon trainer won't let me. He says I have to find it first. I've tried running, but it seems the only path that exists runs into a wall and up to some goblins shortly past the GF griffon trainer.

Can anyone give me some help? I can't find any good maps or anything of the zone.

First suggestion: Keep aware of mobs near your path.

Second: Stick to the road.

The wall you're seeing does have a switchback ramp going up. At the top past the goblin tent, you should see two open areas to your left. Stay on the road to the second one, and keeping a clear eye, head into it, closer to the wall on your right. That will put you in sight of the first Irontoe fort. (The trees are non-aggro, the hulking things and drake are aggro.) Enter that fort and take the tunnel to the fort on the other side. (In the tunnel, don't make any turns.) Leaving the second fort, stick to the path again, gorillas, aviaks, stirges and spiders are aggro, most of the rest that wander are not.

If you're not a Fae, keep to the path and you'll see the docks griffon tower eventually. Take the cut in the cliffs and the path down to the docks, then along the beach to the TD griffon master (on a plateau just up the beach.) If you are a Fae, then along the road, off to your right, you'll see some wisps. Head toward them, jump off the cliff, and you should come down near, if not right on, the plateau just mentioned.

Also, I'd recommend following the road from the dock to Lesser Fay to the griffon tower there...that way you can visit all 3 griffon towers and make it where you no longer have to make the run.

(Remember to GET THE UPDATE THERE! I've run 5 characters through this, and everytime I've had to go back to the station I got the quest from. You'd think I'd learn?) Then evaded like crazy to the Lesser Fay station. Then, crossed over to the Chessboard area to follow that tunnel back to the Irontoe fort, and got pasted to the entrance by a couple pawns. Revived...At the Greater Fay station! LOL

It's not totally safe for low level characters as occasionally you will find an aggro fish or two (about lvl 20) swimming about.
