hello devs . me and my group of friends is doing the chardok line of quest. well its been 3 days now of camping 1 name 5 hours a night. this is the warlord room that u have to spike the syrup to make the room pass out. anyways we have killed this placeholder tonight 14 times and seen zero name. night befor we killed it probly 12 times got 1 name. night befor that we killed him 15 times got 2 names. so in 3 nights 5 hours runs we got 3 names thats 3 updates we still need 3 more updates for my group to finish. so we are looking at 30 hours just to get a group past this 1 part seems a little wacked IMO please look into this spawn thanks. PS keep this forum free from other topics there is hints to start quests for this on eq2flames thanks

We had this named spawn back-to-back for us 4 times - so i guess you're just a victim of the RNG

I think the point here, and the one that has been made numerous times, is that camping a room to spawn a named and depending upon the RNG is not a very effective way to design a game.

There are other quests that have the name pop each time you kill his PH, or have him pop whenever someone with the quest enters the room. There are enough time sinks in the game, even some interesting ones, such that the RNG can be taken out of the equation.

My 2 cents.

Loooks like a good spawn rate to me. What would be the use in name mobs if they were common?

If waiting is fun for you, stand in front of your computer for 5 hours before you start playing. For me, i can do without pointless time sinks. Waiting is not an accomplishment. If you want challenge, make the fight more difficult or the quests longer and more difficult to complete.
