Hey everyone. I posted a thread like this in the PvP section trying to get a feel on what the SK PvP general opinion was. The answers I got kind of surprised me as they ranged from one extreme to the next with little in between. I know everyone has their own opinion on how effective every class is but the huge gap between being awesome and being "the worst class ever" (to quote one poster) really confused me.So here I am again. I figured I would throw the question out to experienced SK players and see what the real deal was. I really was digging the SK class and hoping that they could do well in PvP but if that simply isn't the case I will just keep searching for a class I like. Thanks everyone.

Personally I think we do very well in pvp, (Considering im on negafen) it reallys comes to playing your class right. Even when I started out I could hold my own nicely even being "gimped" versus a twink, sometimes it would be a really close battle just verging on less than 10%. I have no complaints personally I enjoy pvping with my class because we can survive and insane amount of damage. The "I win button" my favorite of course =D.

Good to hear as I really don't want to make a swash/brig and be part of the majority. One guy on the PvP forum was ranting about how many SKs there are on nagafen but he is the only person I have seen say that. It seems to me like tons of people play the scout classes but being a noob I have no real idea.

Sks tend to annoy the hell out of a lot of classes due to our tap wards and such, you make a lot of classes work for their kill. Even if they get the initial jump on you. Once you used some taps and wards you should be able to fend him off pretty well.

SKs in pvp are all about the skill of the player. There are a lot of people that rolled them simply for the HT at lv 20. Personaly if you rolled SK for ht you already lost. To be truly good in PvP a SK takes a lot of finess. In pvp we are early burst dps followed by DoTs. Short fights are doable for us as are long fights mid ranger is where we tend to pudder a bit in PvP.Solo PVP is doable in a 1v1a sk will almost always win.Group PvP kind of sucks we have no taunt lock and very hard to keep people from hitting the group mates.

My opinion is a well played SK is a god on the battle field. They are the person that knows the class inside and out.A poorly played SK gives all others a bad name and well suck. This comes from the SK that leads the venny sk kill count in pvp

Thanks much for the responses guys. I am going to stick with it. I am a big fan of classes that require skill over easy mode kills. I also enjoy making people work for their kills. I am sure I will get rolled plenty while I am learning so I might as well play a class that annoys the hell out of would be gankers. In fact last night right after I hit 10 I got jumped by 2 level 13s (caster classes, not sure which) and it did take them a long time to drop me.If anyone on nagafen doesn't mind helping me learn the ropes let me know. Right now I am playing solo and don't know anyone in game.My IGN is Pukefist. Yes its a diablo reference.
