Just curious to see if anyone has picked up any diecent plate armor from the expansion yet. I'm aware of the dev's opinion regarding us wearing leather, but was wondering if there was a few pieces that 'slipped through' or were recently added. Granted its still somewhat early, but to date I've yet to really see anything that is an upgrade over my T7 raid gear. Which sucks considering many of my non-plate healer friends and guildies are getting tons of upgrades over their stuff. (Sorry just a little frustrated about the apparent lack of itemization, but maybe I'm just unlucky).

If you have happened across anything nice, pls post it and where you got it from!

Thanks!

In the various faction cities there is some gear with the name "battlepriest" available at each vendor. The only one that I've worked to get so far is the Battlepriest plate leg armor offered in Kunzar Jungle in the city of Ji'insk (city found as entering zone from Ri'ils). It offers +STR and +WIS along with a group heal proc of about 300 at an interval of two times a minute. It does, however, have lower mitigation compared to some of my existing fabled gear. What exactly did the developers say about inquisitors wearing leather?

I found the best available plate for inq was the Righteous mastercrafted set ... as good as the battle prist set (imo) but doesnt require 40k faction with 7 different factions. I am slowly replacing it with a combination of real melee gear for soloing and real healing plate for group/raid stuff. I didnt find any real good plate drops outside of Charasis:Maidens Chamber and Chelsith, altho there are one or two quest lines that result in some nice legendary gear.

Sphinx1975 wrote:
What exactly did the developers say about inquisitors wearing leather?
something to the effect of:since im a lazy sod, I can only be arsed to make one set of armor for all the priests put together... after all, they all can wear leather armor- so what difference does it make? you're healing not tanking...I cant even begin to state how bloody [Removed for Content] I am at the lack of decent plate / priest drops for us.

A question for some of the inquizies ... Have you seen any gear that is worth taking off the EoF leg set for the 33% faster casting speed? My guild has an inquis who is having a very hard time doing just that. We mostly do groups if that matters, but she also duo's with her hubby who is a briggy.

In short, "why should chain/plate healers worry about mitigation if they never get hit while in a group?" and another gem "you can't expect us 'rednames' (devs) to know and understand all 24 of the games classes". Thus the bulk of the healer gear they created for the expansion is Leather. They recently added some better stuff, but its all from the faction merchants, as I understand it, there's very little if any that will be attained via quest rewards because that'd take to much effort to re-itemize.

With that "gem" above...

It sounds like they wanted to either:

a) appease the masses of druids currently playing who outnumber both chain and plate

b) make it so Inq T8 have to be heal bots unless they RAID and get RAID plate...

c) they ran out of time and couldn't give the lower population classes as much love but they can't tell us that, instead they say they're human.

I'd say C and A are the likely culprits... C alone is possible, but they play tons and tons and tons.... and are micromanaged in teams like you wouldn't believe...so it's hard to believe "team itemization" accidently "missed" plate upgrades for plate heals.

They probably ran out of time and decided most EOF gear is pretty good anyways and with the exception of mitigation most adorned EOF legendary can hold its own with ROK legendary.

Dont worry, I'm sure next year they'll remember the plate heal upgrades in the next expansion since the level cap won't be going up for at least 2 years. If they don't then its a clear message that too many Inq solo and duo and they need more plate heals for raids so if you want the plate gear you better RAID T8.

But then again, I still hear Inqs don't heal lol Temps heal.. Ah the plight of classes that debuff....

I certainly hope it isn't B btw, if it is they're going to have an even lower active population in T8 of Inq than they do now as many just won't be raiding who aren't already no matter the "gear-pressure."
