Sol Ro Cloak question

I am currently a worshipper of Bertoxx and I have been wondering if it's worth my time to switch to Sol Ro to get the cloak and switch back. I have done only two of the Bertoxx quests and have been wondering how much effort it would take to rebuild up the faction/favour in this case. Also with the RoK expansion are there better cloaks than the Sol Ro cloak or stuff that's equilvalently good?Thanks in advance.

There is no faction rebuilding from what I was told. After getting the cloak just renounce Sol Ro go back to Bert and click to take Bert back. There is a kind of nice cloak in Riliss has INT some other stats +1Crit and some +DMG on it if you have 40k faction you could buy it. There's so much +DMG gear out there from quests and instances, just another option to look at.

<p>At the moment (or at least last time I checked which was Monday I believe), the Sol Ro cloak is broken (among other things) becaue of the way the effect is applied to the item.   </p><p>To actually add +damage the item needs to carry the modifier in the stats like this:</p><p><i>20 Sta 20 Wis 20 Int and +25 spell damage</i> rather than the "equipped effect" where the addition to damage shows up in the text at the bottom of the item description.   </p><p>In any event, I wouldn't worry too much about getting the cloak. Like LazyPurple said, there are a ton of items that will help you get to the cap without having it.  </p><p>You do lose all the faction with the previous diety when you renounce though. Not sure if you get it back if/when you decide to return but I would guess not.  </p>

Maybe I am not understanding this correctly but is there a cap on the amount of +dam you can get from gear? Also are there cloaks which are almost as good as Sol Ro now with RoK out? I was searching through the forums and found references to a Unrest cloak which is comparable with the Sol Ro cloak if not quite as good for raids.Thanks again.

With + spell dmg around 580, I saw a larger increase to spells with the MC cloak with +2% to base spell dmg.

Interesting.  So the +damage is added to base damage for the MC cloak rather than being tacked on afterwards?
