Can we have mail we can pick up and take out of inbox?

With how I always seem like I'm on the run it would be great to be able to pick up all my mail and read it while I'm on the run.....what are the chances of something like this ever being implemented?

I'd settle for being able to get my attachments from my mail. Najena's mail system is broken. Was working this morning, hasn't worked since the maintenance that was supposed to FIX the issue for other servers.
