First of all, Allow me to say hello. I'm Saw level 59 Arasai melee warden on Lucan D'Lere. Thus far this is my highest and most favorite class. I've never had this much fun in EQ2 this far. So Here is a link to my character page to show you my gear setup and then I'll start my questions. I thank you all for any imput you can offer.http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...terId=896105109Question #1Ok I have 72 AA's as we speak and I have 6-8-8-8-2 STR I have my melee crit EOF line maxed fully. Working on my EOF rez line with improvement to my big ole tree also my tranquilizing spores. My main goal for this toon is to be the best Battle Druid for instances. I want to DPS in between heals. I also want to be main healer. So Any suggetsions as to what AA's should be after or am I going the right route already?Question #2You see how I'm doing my gear this far right? I'm not finding many drops that beat my MC gear as of yet. But I haven't been looking too hard either. Just been enjoying the dungeons. I understand that T7 MC is actually a downgrade. Is it true that T7 drops are the better way to go? Any particular quests I should look out for to improve my gear?Question #3Are my stats okay? I mean I'm all Adept 1 at least the majority being Adept 3. But is my WIS to low? STR not high enough? Or am I just wasting stats?Ok thats all I have now but I do reserve the right to post some more. LOL. So anyhoo if you can help I'm all ears. Thanks a ton.Saw

Not too sure of the stuff for wardens, but I do know that in t8 you'll be able to get the Battledruid's armor from different factions throughout RoK. Those are very good pieces for a meleeing warden, since you don't lose out on wis for str.

I can't view your character profile page from work so can't answer some of those questions atm but I can tell you a couple things.

First off, MC gear is more than sufficient through T6. T7 the droped gear from EoF zones is great. The class set Lengedary gear is the way to go if you're not a raider but have access to grouping in the T7 dungeons/instances (Unrest, Kaladim, Mistmoore Catacombs, Castle Mistmoore, Crypt of Valdoon, Obelisk of Blight, Achadachism). T8 is full of all kinds of gear, a lot of great quested gear, a lot of good dropped gear, a lot of good faction/merchant gear, and the mastercrafted is not bad at all if you aren't going into T8 fabled out in T7. So all in all, don't worry about "looking" for good gear until T7 IMO, the mastercrafted is plenty good till then and the EoF lengendary is fairly easy to get now with the smart loot system.

As far as the AA goes, you've already got the melee pretty much figured out it sounds like. For the healing side of things I always recommend the AGI and STA lines on the druid tree. Faster heal ticks + higher heal crit chance % is the way to go.

As I mentioned I can't look at your gear or stats atm so no help there, but a good test of how you're doing is this: "Do I have more power than every other healer I ever group with?" If the answer is yes - you're developing your warden well. In rare cases you might see a very well geared healer out-power you, but wardens are designed to have massive power pools, you should be in the top tier. (at lvl 80 hitting 10k power in a group is only a few adornments away with my current gear, which would be best classified as lengedary. once we have masters and some T8 fabled, wardens should be blowing past 10k power self buffed or at the very most in a standard group)

Agree with the posts. I'd go STA first, then AGI for your battledruid setup. We complained about the AGI line for awhile because it was a lot of points to put into something for just the heal bonus - but the heal bonus is worth it, so we did it. In RoK many mobs are charmable, which is breathing new life into that line. It's excellent for soloing. That said, for your instances melee warden setup, I'd go STA first. You want as much HP and mitigation as you can get, and with that line and your Warden AA Wolf enhancement, you can take quite a beating if you have to.

With the setup you have, and these tweaks, I think you'll be able to do what you want with no problem. As for gear, I think the T7 dropped stuff is much better than mastercrafted (sadly, says this lvl 70 Tailor), but the Warden EoF legendary set is pretty much aimed at a healer/nuker, not at melee. What you might do instead, is look for items on the broker by putting Monk or Bruiser in the 'class' section - so you can see what's out there. Many of those pieces also say they are for us, but you'd probably find the STR gear you need faster that way. It's then a short stroll to a WIKI to see where it drops.

A dear friend once told me that you really can't split your stats between STR and WIS, ie..you can't have STR armor and WIS bling, for example. You have to do one or the other to do either well. You have to either spec as a fighter, with healing second or you have to spec as a healer and do the melee you can. This is calling attention to the way armor hasn't really addressed Warden's melee abilities, but is sadly true.

Choose which you want to do - if it's melee, you'll still be able to heal extremely well.

Edit: I couldn't see your stats at first, then I was able to. I think you are doing ok overall. Beef up your mental resist if you can, but it's not too far off. The only other item of concern is STA, but if you go down that line, you'll take care of it, IMO. And I think that in Tier 6, mastercrafted is pretty much the best gear you can have - short of having raided T5 content, and then Raiding T6, which A) it doesn't sound like you want to do and B) no one is really doing anymore anyway (sad..T5 raids were pretty fun...)

You look like youve done pretty well gear wise , but sadly your at the end of that suff , So what you pick up in T7 is probably going to change your ratio's ...

1st thing id say when buying some new stuff for T7 , Pick up an imbued ring of Str, And mix up your hex dolls , Keep 1 str and either have wis or sta for second, both have decent debuffs depending on situation.

All stats benifits start decreasing at 7X your lvl +20 (but not much till X10) So getting your wisdom to atleast X7 I think is important for resists and pwr pool.

I think you probably want to drop the 1h buckler if your not the one getting hit , There is a nice 2h club in the Acadeism (how ever you spell that) lvl 62 i think , Legendary notrade , Has +50 str.

There are 3 adornments for str also , Dont worry about finding the best, But what is good , is to adorn items that allready have str on them. Shoulders, legs, wristsx2 , That way you have Higher str when wanting to spec that way. Just consider your going to have more than 1 outfit combonation.

And if you havent done the deity for Rallos Zek , Go do that one for the cloak , Then you can switch back to what ever you want, I find Inny nice for the evil warden.

As far as AA lines to pick , The Sta is the best overall heal boost imo , The agi line would be good when you can go charm some stuff in Rok , And subj skill plays big part there, So watch for +subj gear while you lvl through T7 if you want be charming 3-5 lvls above you.

Just remember That the biggest heal boost is going to be upgrades though ...when considering wich to buy adept3's for , always take those first If being a solo healer is your consideration.

I myself picked Str/Int line and keep a 4str/3int ratio ,infusion is a nice boost to dps and it seems better used with mele spec, But ive had mostly master heals for a long time & havent raided heavy content for awhile, So i never felt like my heals were lacking.

And this is starting to look like a rambeling post, so im going to say GLHF
