I'm curious ... does anyone know if the factions Shadowknights of Nightkeep (Trolls), and the Green Blood Knights (Ogres) are still around?I remember my first days in EverQuest, the first character I created was a Troll Shadowknight. I played on the Rallos Zek server (now just called Zek), and when I first spawned into the Innothule Swamp there was another Troll Shadowknight there just outside of Grobb urging his fellow Trolls to join him in an attack against the vile Green Blood Knights who had attacked earlier. He actually rallied a large number of Trolls to invade the Feerott, including myself. We attacked, and fought several large battles, and it was pretty dang fun, one of the best memories I have from playing EverQuest, I think I even have some screenshots around someplace. Anyhow, I rolled up a Troll Shadowknight ALT the other night, due to an overwhelming urge of nostalgia after visiting EQ Players, and looking over all my old characters. I remember as a Troll Shadowknight I couldn't go anywhere near the Green Blood Knights in Oggok because I was kill on sight to them, and it was the same for an Ogre Shadowknight, you couldn't go near the Shadowknights of Nightkeep in Grobb. Is there any information on these two old Shadowknight factions that I can find in-game at all? Thanks.

If they still do exist, there's no mention of them anywhere in the entire game.

The Greenbloods were probably wiped out of existance with the Greenmist and the Cataclysmic destruction of Oggok. Maybe those that miraculously survived decided to abandon thier ways and just join up with other groups like in Freeport now that they're all united.

The Shadowknights of Nightkeep probably disappeared when the frogloks took over Grobb, or merged in with other unified factions, such as Freeport again.

Maybe we'll find out more if they ever release the Moors of Ykesha as an expansion or adventure pack, but until then, there's just no mention of them.

That day when the Frogloks kicked the trolls out of Grobb. I've actually been wanting to find this image. I would have used it many times on these boards in the past.

Ahh I miss seeing the old troll and ogre models. Especially the fat circle ogres... the ogres in this game just look too mean.

I don't know about now, but I know that the Shadow Knights of Nightkeep weren't wiped out when Grobb was taken over by the Frogloks. Following the Troll migration to Neriak, you could find Hukulk, the leader of the Shadow Knights of Nightkeep, in the Foreign Quarter. It's not too much of a surprise, as the guild leaders would have had to have been the strongest of their repsective guilds in order to stay in power. As a side note, we do have the founding of the Shadow Knights of Nightkeep in lore:
The First Vision
Hidden in the bowels of Night Keep in the early days of Grobb lay a tunnel leading to a small cave. No torches donned the walls of this place and a small wooden altar was the only object within. Those initiated into the order of shadowknights in Night Keep knew this place as The Eyes of Cazic. It was here that the Warlord Grimgash, after he and the Warlord Jurglash completed their clan's victory over the residents of Innothule swamp came to give thanks to Cazic Thule for their dominance. After three days of disciplined meditation in this chamber with neither food nor drink Grimgash received a vision from the Lord of Fear. Through his mind he foresaw a great order of disciplined troll warriors mixing their natural fighting skills with the dark powers of Cazic Thule, spreading terror throughout the swamps of Innothule and beyond. Grimgash ordered a keep built around the cave. Thus began the order now called the Shadowknights of Night Keep. The newly initiated troll shadowknights under Warlord Grimgash were sent into this cavern to receive a vision from Cazic Thule thus setting the path of their destiny. Through the guidance of the visions granted by The Eyes of Cazic Thule, the shadowknights of Night Keep led several successful campaigns against the Frogloks of Guk. The eyes revealed to Cazic's faithful trolls the hiding places of the Frogloks and the Froglok advances on Grobb before they came to pass.

As the years passed and the swamps rose beneath Grobb, water and sludge began to swallow The Eyes of Cazic Thule. The shadowknights of Night Keep tried to keep the swamp at bay but eventually the cavern became submerged beneath Grobb, The Eyes of Cazic Thule lost to the new generations of Shadowknights. Without the influence of The Eyes of Cazic Thule, the Teir'dal of Neriak found it easier to persuade young trolls into the service of Innoruuk, and Night Keep became an army divided between two Gods. It is whispered in the shadows of Night Keep that should one of Cazics faithful reach The Eyes of Cazic Thule beneath the waters and sludge of the swamp and survive, they shall become the mightiest of all shadowknights and shall lead Grobb in victories unparalleled by the great warlords of days gone by.

I wouldn't be too surprised to find out that these guilds still existed in some part in each of the districts of Freeport.
