Hey everyoneI was wondering, are the Warden CA's (Fire strike, etc etc) affected only by str, or influenced by intelligence as well?As I was wondering...for your gear, especially on a pvp server, would you focus on wis/stam or would you get some items wis/stam and some str/stam? I'm worried if I get all my armor woven and my jewelry wis/stam my str will be too low.Any thoughts? Thanks

Strength is certainly a big issue. I'm on Venekor as well, and I try to have a mix of str, wis and sta.

At the moment I have about 700 wisdom and 330 str, wearing my pvp gear. That's not quite good enough. What I'm aiming at is staying at about the first soft cap on wisdom (that's 10 times your level plus 20), so in my case it's 790. Regarding strength, get it as high as possible as it will affect all the damage you do - but try to keep you wisdom up at the same time.

No matter what your goal is - be it pvp or pve, I think it's safe to say that a lot of health is a good thing! So keep it high, but not at the expense of the others. Try to mix it up a bit and see what works for you in pvp.

Oh and if you get a choice, +power and +health works better than wisdom and stamina in the later levels, because of the cap on stats.

I was also curious about this for my baby battle warden. Does strength effect the elemental componets on the converted CAs?

The direct damage portion is strength, the DoT portion is int. You can verify this for yourself by removing gear and checking stats etc.

It transfers this dmg factor from Int to Str (except the dot portion of the debuff is always int)

It also changes what skill they check against to land .... From Disruption to Crushing/Slashing Includeing the debuff spell. Due to our single target buff for mele skill , We can boost this well beyond max cap and increase our dmg output considerably just by landing the dmg more often.

Str will also increase the 4 CA's you can get from the Druid AA line ... except the magic dmg portion of the CA on int line .... And of course your auto attack .... Then all of these become subject to the 75% mele crits.

The one dmg boost the Int warden has above the str warden , Is that the elemental dmg boost adornments dont work on our CA's .... atleast last time i checked it.

Hmmm sorry after rereading i realized this wasnt even a question you asked , but thought id leave it up anyways. Maybe i was hearing voices again.

I have been running as a melee warden for quite some time, i tried the melee caster hybrid thing keeping my wis int str and sta all about the same and i have to say that i kinda sucked that way. When i switched out to full melee gear (decided that when i buy gear to just pretend im a bruiser) my surviveability went up drastically as well as my dmg. Now im not going to lie and say i heal as well as i did before the swap to full melee BUT i can still solo heal for parties. It is my beleif that the group proc heal makes up for the loss in power and my heals being a bit weaker. I use a power tap adornment on my weapon and with the mana buffs that the warden gets i dont tend to have issues with power. I do have a pvp warden and actually she is specced the exact same as my pve warden just lower level and a bit fewer aa. I have absolutely no problems on pvp except having enough people to kill. i usually run solo and generally dont die. if i see a gank squad coming evac solves that problem and as far as a fair fight, which i have decided is roughly 3 of them vs me i rarely fall. I wont tell you that if you melee spec and melee gear you will be a pvp god, i just know it works well for me. Well enough that i would reccommend my fellow wardens give it a shot. As far as my wis being low now and my elemental resists droping because of it (at least the tool tip says that wis helps you resist spells) mages generally arnt that rough. I think thats more along the lines that they drop fast though. when i buy gear my order of stats is Str, Sta, Agi, Wis, Int. i take +hp over +power. hope this helps

^^^ ...well said, if somewhat lacking in punctuation ..::Grin::

I remember when I got sorrowful "wow, are you clueless" looks...when I rolled my Warden on Venekor, the first day the server opened. "Wow, everyone knows Wardens can't pvp..why not reroll and pick Fury". "Naw, that's ok, I like Warden" ::SMUG SMILE:::

I just love being Right The changes that have happened since pvp servers opened also don't hurt, but we were always pretty decent in pvp even before them.
