well im coming back to eq and i have read the forums about solo classes, brig, bruiser or sk i know all 3 classes can solo but i know no one likes leather tanks or crusaders so i was thinking ether brig, wizard, warlock or assassin. i know that some are hard classes to solo with very gear and aa dependent both are not a problem im not helpless or stupid i can figure stuff out i just want a class that can somewhat solo and is wanted in groups or raids can any help me.

Well I can only really speak of the warlock class. I have managed to solo so far to 65 with trivial difficulty here and there, most of which being finding somewhere to go. So personally, as a soloist I would certainly recommend a warlock, and that is as a "newbie" warlock...no hand me down gear or coin. As for groups, when they are around I never really have issues joining one and groups seem happy to have me along. I will say though that it would seem that compared to the 30s I personally feel as though the edge on power has waned. Raids, nfc..that was EQ1 for me and don't have a desire to get back into them.

I can speak for brigs and wizards...

Brigs can solo very well after level 23 or so...

Wizards take a bit longer before they aren't super squishy, around lvl 40ish.

The assassin is not a very good solo class...they are one of the squishiest scouts and have a lot of positional and stealth requirement attacks with not a lot of ways to utilize them when soloing.

If you are having a hard time finding groups (no idea why...if you are playing on a medium server during your prime time you shouldn't have too much trouble...) then go brig for melee.

And yea...I'm an altoholic so when it comes to choosing classes that I like playing and that I can get content done with in only six slots is difficult, lol.

Go Brig with STA/STR lines

Or Wizard/Warlock with Battlemage

Personally, if you like Crusaders, both can do well (Nod to SK for more solo-ability), though it is hard to fight for a fighter slot, but solid players will always make their mark among peers.
